2019 NBA Draft Lottery

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Would you guys trade 5 for Bradley beal? I have a feeling he’s available.

No. We are not near contention even with Beal. Also Beal is only under contract for 2 more seasons. Do you really think he would resign with us? He doesn't make us a title contender, is only under contract for 2 years, what is the reason we give up the 5th pick for him?

Culver has already shown more playmaking then Porter ever did in College or the NBA. Porter was and still is a guy you create for not a guy who creates for himself or others. Culver has shown the ability to get his own shot and to be a decent secondary or third play maker on a team.

I think Culver is a player you want to be a secondary or third ball handler paired with someone that is true primary ball handler and distributor. Sexton really isn't that guy. I think a good pairing for Sexton is someone that will be a 1a/1b type primary ball handler. Someone that will take a equal split with Sexton. I think Reddish or any of the guards like Coby White, Langford, or Garland could be that guy.

You've been here for 9 years... this is the best you can do?
Beats the guys after him who wasn't sure if college and NBA had the same 3 point line. :)

I wouldn't mind seeing a pick swap with the Bulls if it came with Kris Dunn, their 2nd this year (38 iirc) and a 2nd in 21 or 22. I think Dunn and Sexton would pair well together, they each make up for the others faults imo. I know the Bulls aren't sold on Dunn and are looking at Garland or White from everything I've read recently. Dunn could defend the best guard on the other team and is better at setting up teammates while Sexton has better scoring instincts, shooting and shot selection. Dunn reminds me a lot of a young Jrue Holiday (not as good but similar style of play) and could be on a contract that is under market value if he puts it together.

Wouldn't mind one with the Hawks of 5 /26 for 8 and 10 then taking some combination of Hayes, Rui, Hunter, Langford, Reddish or Bol depending on who is available. I wouldn't be mad if they had to swap JR for Plumlee in a deal like this either since it would give Hawks incentive to do it by maxing their cap space.

If they keep 5 I wouldn't mind seeing them offer the Wizards Clarkson and 26 for 9 and Mahinmi. I wouldn't mind if Henson was in this as well if the Wizards wanted since they will have beteen $15-20mil in space if they don't pick up Jabari's option. Only adds $7 mil to the Wizards cap number which is around $90mil if they decline Jabari, cap next year is between $105-109 iirc.

And the only thing truly wrong with Otto Porter is his contract.

If he was making half of his current salary, people would be falling over themselves with how much they love him. He's averaged 5.8 WS a year over the last five years.

The guy is a .480/.400/.800 career shooter and gives you 14-6-2-1.5, doesn't turn it over while playing good defense.

If Culver became Porter, we would all be very happy.

We could have HAD Porter - instead of Bennett.

Of course, we could have had Dipo. I weep.

Takes it for what's its worth, but I believe..just getting home from drinks with a few friends. One if my friends cousins, girlfriends, brother (shit you not) supposedly is close to just a scout for the Cavs. Stated their top 5 is Zion, Ja, Hunter,Culver, Bol, with Langford as the outlier, Bol Doesnt check out, Langford sits #5.. they love Hunter seeing the next Kawhi but believe Lakers are taking him..in that order and ofcourse if Bol Checks out..that was before Bielein, Beilein is in favor of Hunter and Culver, believe Rj is going to Fall if he gets past Knicks. have Barrett rated below those 6..hoping Knicks do Take him.. truly believe that's the order. No mention of Hachimura. Look Michigan players our second pick, (Ignas, Matthews) if still available and depending on first pick.. if plays out what he thinks he sees hunter going 4 and Culver to us. With bol fighting that spot if checking out.
sounds like somebody had a few too many
Langford won't go before 13 and he could easily fall to 26 if they want a project who can't shoot.
Bol has to clear medicals, Hunter is a smokescreen etc.

Langford projected in the teens.

NBAdraft.net had Porter Jr. in the second round. No thanks.

Would love to trade the pick. ATL sittin’ pretty.

Langford still projected as high as Miami but that is unlikely with better options moving up boards.
The only thing pre combine that was working against Kevin Porter was unanswered questions about off court issues. He is just as good of an option on the wing as any other currently projected ones in the top 10. In fact his ability as a creator is elite for a wing , the shooting, athletic ability and BB IQ scream top 5 pick / future all star way more so than Culver,Hunter or Reddish.
btw nbadraft.net is terrible

Romeo was a 5 star recruit out of HS. He was a much better three point shooter in hs then his freshmen year at Indy. Some guys struggle then shoot much better if they come back for their sophomore season. He has a long way to go, but he has some tools that could make him a good offensive player if he puts it all together. I mean it would not shock me if he had a better career then Hunter or Culver. I don’t think you can expect it, but it is not a crazy scenario at all.
He could also be a bust if he does not put in the time and goes to the wrong environment. He is one of those boom or bust type guys. You would really like to interview him and see him workout and talk to people from his past. If he is a hard worker and he starts shooting the ball better from the outside, you may really have something.
