Difference of course is that Simmons 2nd contract has already been resolved; he is signed for the next 4 years.
That's worked out well for Philly, huh?

The root cause of Simmons’s issues in Philly is his inability to perform in key skill areas & pressure situations. If CLE were to trade for him, those issues are known & accepted by Cavs (which is why I hope they don’t do so.)That's worked out well for Philly, huh?
In his draft year 2016, he was injured and the 76ers won 28 games. The next year was the first year he played, and they won 52 games.there is no evidence at all in Simmons career that he is capable of lifting the third worst team in the league into the playoffs

Fair enough. It was also a pretty big year for Embiid though, he played in over 60 games as opposed to 30 in 2016.In his draft year 2016, he was injured and the 76ers won 28 games. The next year was the first year he played, and they won 52 games.
The irony of this place's love for Nance Jr yet bemoaning trading for Simmons when Simmons is 3x the player Nance is
Windhorst is reporting this trade possibility: Love, Sexton, Windler, first rounders in 2022, 2023, and 2025. They better all be TOP TEN protected.
How does that pass the Stepien Rule? Do we have an extra FRP in 22 or 23 that I don't know about?Windhorst is reporting this trade possibility: Love, Sexton, Windler, first rounders in 2022, 2023, and 2025. They better all be TOP TEN protected.

Ugh that’s just terrible so all 3 of our decent shooters for someone who can’t even shoot free throws? I don’t understand how this type of trade makes us any betterInteresting. Source by chance?
KPJ and Windler were 30th and 26th picks, respectively. This thing where a rebuild is supposed to take 3-4 years is a fantasy. Hardwoods did it but they got a rookie who has a precocious understanding of the game and ability to be a floor general first and then every move worked except reddish.
Cavs already had setbacks in Porter Jr and Windler while getting little from the scraps of the championship team.
