Is it okay to like Steph Curry now ?

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I dunno, I just appreciate this dude…

I respect the fact that he’s stayed there his entire career… Essentially put the Warriors on the map— turned them into a dynasty — playing well and impacting winning later in his career..

Just a fun player to watch…

I wonder if his clubhouse still smells like cigars?

Yea, at this point, its okay to be mad or not like Curry due to the old rivalry. But damn, you gotta respect what's he's accomplished, his progression due to the dedication to his craft, his wife (and mom), and the fact he stayed in one place while doing it.

I like Steph. He is very fun ti watch and unlike someone who's name rhymes with shmaymond screen isnt an ass kn the court. Dont like the Warriors, but I do like steph

Exactly. It’s at a point now where I respect his game, his longevity… The same things people say about LeBron can apply to Steph— family guy, never in a any trouble, ambassador for the game…

Steph changed the way the game is played. He’s just as exciting to watch now as when he first started taking off to stardom and he’s accomplished essentially everything in the league…

He was annoying as hell to watch going up against the Cavs — but as time has gone on I’ve really developed an appreciation for his game and how he’s gone about his business… I was legit rooting for him in the finals against the Celtics last season…

I’m hoping they find a way to make it back this season…

Kareem Abdul Jabaar wrote on his Substack today that Steph Curry is one of the greatest conversationalists he’s ever had the pleasure to spend an afternoon with.

Thought that was kind of cool.

It’s remarkable what a big effect on winning Curry has for being a relatively small guy. A lot of small guards can stack up stats but Curry can dominate and control the course of a game and a season the way very few small guys have ever been able to. He’s not just a great shooter, he’s a great penetrator / facilitator / distributor too, and his nonstop movement off the ball gives him even greater gravity than he would already have as one of the best pure shooters ever to play the game. He really takes care of his body too, he’s playing incredibly well for age 35 - doesn’t get enough credit for that

I stopped hating them the moment we ceased to a contender, especially once Durant left.
He potentially stands in the way again in coming seasons, so no.

Not to mention adding to the ring tally this past season and, until someone actually pins 4 losses on them, this season and building upon the legacies of their other rings ain't a good thing.

Eh, would be nice if he spent a last year or two in his hometown Charlotte or somewhere else that has struggled (and no, the Warriors, who had 2 rings before the current era, don't count as "have struggled" by comparison, even with their past down years.)

I hope that bum never wins anything ever again, and that he toils in the twilight of his career. Last season was a disaster because Jayson Tatum turns into a NyQuil drinker in big moments.

He’s still going strong and has his team in a position to compete…. Quite admirable
