Unfortunately, it appears that much of the league has now watched film on Merrill and are playing him much differently; that being said, if they’re playing Merrill tighter, then others should be more open and we need to capitalize on that
The offense was straight garbage in the 7 minutes Garland didn't play in the first half and he had already started cooking on Suggs before he got hurt in the second half.Garland played 17 minutes in the first half and had all of 3 points to go with 2 assists and 2 turnovers; there’s nothing stellar about that performance. After Suggs’ injury , I stated that DG stepped things up in the 2nd half. C-Peazy played all of 4 minutes in the first half only and had an immediate impact …..gathering a defensive rebound and pushed the ball up the floor for a hockey assist; he scored on a drive on another possession and did force a drive and have the ball knocked off of his leg on another. I’m not stating that he’s better than DG by any means and I didn’t realize that your question was snarky rhetoric and attempted to answer the question thinking that you hadn’t watched the game.
Now, I’m sorry that I took the time to try and help a fellow poster; don’t worry it won’t happen again. Go Cavs
As is the strength of schedule for those games. In any event, the Cavs aren't winning a playoff series unless they're both healthy and available.You can go to statsmuse and look up the teams record with one guy and not the other.
Fwiw, it's heavily slanted in Mitchell's favor.
the scouting report is written by dudes who repeated the 1st grade 4 times in a rowThe scouting report is out, get physical with the cavs and you will beat them
I agree completely. The offense looks a lot worse with "Dribblin Darius" dribbling down the shot clock, dominating the ball. I hope Garland has another act to his play because this version is too easy for defenses to shut down. When he's dribbling the air out of the ball the rest of the team is almost forced to stand around to see which way he's going to go. Very few possessions with any decent ball movement tonight. Garland's demeanor and body language were off tonight, like he's feeling the pressure with Donovan sitting one out.This loss comes down to two things for me:
1. The Cavs were without Mitchell, one of the NBA’s best players;
2. Without him, the playmaking duties fell to Garland, and his pound-the-rock style is the complete opposite of the ball-movement, pace-and-space game that the Cavs have been winning with the past two months.
I thought he on a few of them he should have popped the shot off, he had time. Just felt like everyone was slow tonight.How open was Mobley on those pump fake 3s tonight? I saw atleast 3 of them.
Should he have hoisted any of those or was the closeout too good in yalls opinion?
Whoa! Who’s the lady on the Bally’s crew?! She’s SMOKIN’! Is that GIADA?!
