No Vert either.No Mobley??
No Vert either.No Mobley??
They've played how many games together, and is this actually happening? Also, Garland is a great shooter. but he provides nothing else as an off-ball SG. Really, his skillset is nerfed being off-ball. He's a true PG at heart.Garland and Mitchell would work out great if Mitchell becomes the lead ball handler and Garland plays more off ball.
The issue is skill-set redundancy. The team performed better when one of them was missing.Allen is one of the top 10 starting centers in the league, and has been our second best player all season. Mobley also is able to do things on the court that nobody else can do.
Two game sample size. One of which was against one of the worst teams in the league.Mobley and Allen played really well together last night, and their games are so different. I've seen a lot of potential from Mobley these last 2 games since he's back.
On Frobley we have several seasons sample size they are an excellent fit on defense. Trading either without a legit top 10 guy coming back is a lazy takeThey've played how many games together, and is this actually happening? I think all 4 are really good players. I wouldn’t be in a hurry to trade any of them. That said, I think there are, and always will be, fit issues. These 4 don’t naturally compliment one another. And when 3 of the 4 are going to be making huge salaries, that matters. If I were Koby, I’d be on the lookout for a team willing to overpay for one of them. None of these guys is untouchable to me. But I’m not sending any of them away on the cheap. The "trade one of Garland/Mitchell and Mobley/Allen" take is still wrong. I think it would be a big mistake to do so.
Garland and Mitchell would work out great if Mitchell becomes the lead ball handler and Garland plays more off ball. That would lead to both team and individual success. Garland has elite shooting talent, and is still a really good playmaker, even if he hasn't shown it as regularly lately.

Assuming Mitchell re-signs, of the 4 players, the one I'd at least listen to offers for is Garland. But I don't think it's necessary to move him, and the other 3 I think would be idiotic to even consider trading at all.
It’s not about defense. It’s about offense and maximizing 5 players on the court. On Frobley we have several seasons sample size they are an excellent fit on defense. Trading either without a legit top 10 guy coming back is a lazy take
Cam be done with this pair and a smarter offense easily. It’s not about defense. It’s about offense and maximizing 5 players on the court.
hasn't happened yet.Cam be done with this pair and a smarter offense easily.

Doesn't mean it can't. With your plan we will never find outhasn't happened yet.
Better to be too early, than it is to be too late. The core 4 will not make it out of the second round. It’s time to pivot.Doesn't mean it can't. With your plan we will never find out
I disagree. We are a conference finals level team by talent but just need to move around some supporting pieces, get more seasoning, and upgrade the chefBetter to be too early, than it is to be too late. The core 4 will not make it out of the second round. It’s time to pivot.
