I fucked my taste buds up and am 100% over some of the foods I've eaten every day for the last 10 years, I could use some meal suggestions
What do you make that is relatively healthy and keeps you full?
The two meals that I consistently eat when I'm doing well are:
1. Eggs
2. Baked potatoes
The eggs are usually my breakfast, and the potatoes are usually my lunch. For the eggs, I'll typically scramble 4-6 eggs, and mix in some of whatever I have prepared/feel like having (cheese, onions, peppers). For the potatoes, I'll microwave one or two potatoes (depending on size), then add some butter, cheese, maybe some bacon bits, maybe add some turkey to it for additional protein. It's not elaborate, but it keeps me full for a few hours.
This is sort of adjacent to
@bushwick_bill 's response above, but I like to prepare a snack of Greek yogurt, bananas, and PB2 powder. I'll prepare several servings at a time, with one 2 pound container of yogurt, maybe 3-4 bananas, and several tablespoons of the PB2. Mash the bananas, add the PB2, then stir in the yogurt until the whole mix is creamy. I'll portion it out into a few plastic containers, so that I can grab them from the fridge as needed. The bananas give it just enough sweetness to overcome the bitterness of the yogurt and give it a dessert-ish feel.
I'll also cut up a bunch of carrots and celery and put them into plastic/Tupperware containers. Again, the idea is to have a "grab and go" snack. I fall into that trap of mindless eating (eating while working, eating while watching TV), so if I'm going to mindlessly snack on something, I'll snack on those. If I close my eyes and really pretend ... it is still absolutely nothing like eating Doritos. But I've gotten to like and even crave the taste.
