2023-24 Playoff Series #1 | Game 2 | Magic @ Cavs | April 22, 2024

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Glad for the W, but that 4th quarter was abysmal tbh. Cavs went up 20, started pooping, refs starting wiping the Magic's ass.

One thing though: Jarrett Allen has been dominating this series, despite all the Raptors ball.

Need DG to really clean it up, even when the team is up 20. Niang has been a brick and mortar from 3. I think he has one made bucket from the field in 2 games. We need to see at least a few minutes of Morris this series.

When the game got under 10, Donovan took off his belt and put it to the Magic's ass for 2 key possessions.

LeVert and Okoro showed up.

Fuck both them Scheißkerl Wagner Bros.

Cavs playing through the bad officiating, but I'm sick of the one-sided shit. Donovan getting hacked all over the place on one possession with no call.
JBB needs some cleaning up...leaving Niang in there AND NOT USING HIS bench is taxing his unit..no reason not to play Morris..oh and if the thought is Merrill is not hitting, well Niang isn't either and he keeps throwing up shots. He can find spot minutes for both.

DG would probably be fine if he replaced a little of the herky-jerkyness with with more "north-south" type moves.

But you have to have the bbiq/confidence to do it.

A lot of his secondary dribbling is actually aiding the defender in staying with him.

interesting to see the cavs playing very tough throughout and the magic players have been getting shaken up (physically) this series.

such a change in tone from last year.

The magic just don't have anything to switch to which is perfect for JBB. They just don't have the talent to build out any lineup changes. It really hurts them in this series but for the future, I don't think it's so bad for them. They lack scoring guards but that might be the easiest position to find talent in the NBA. If they can find some guards that can score it will make them alot better.

The emotional fans screeching about the rotations are cracking me up. The starters are averaging at least a quarter of rest a game so far this postseason and 8 man rotations are normal for the playoffs. Look at the Celtics game 1 - 8 man rotation with Tatum playing 41 minutes

It’s great to be 2-0. Rebounding is great. Very happy for Allen. He deserves so much love. Much better physically than last year.

There are still lots of little things that need to be improved. Can JBB put in Morris or TT if Niang is not hitting shots? Can we get Merrill with Donovan and Allen together on the road to create some spacing and shooting? Can we generate offense instead of standing around in the 4th?

Those little things are going to stand out in next round.
