tOSU vs USC game thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Pryor is a joke. He looks scared, he can't manage a game, he makes terrible decisions.

I loved when he chose Michigan over OSU, but I don't know if I can put up with this shit for another year or two.

He doesn't show up in big games.

This just twists the knife a little bit more. USC's first TD on 4th and goal:

Seriously?

How many times did Pryor run the ball?

How many times did we not go for it on 4th and short?

How many times did we throw for 40 on 3rd and 5?

1.) Was that Tressel's fault or Pryors? Pryor lookied like a deer in the headlights out there. He took ill-advied shots and didn't see holes that were created for him to run though. He stared down receivers and underthrew passes.

2.) Twice. It wasn't the reason we lost. If we don't covert we lose by two touchdowns.

3.) Again, was that Tressel, or Pryor? Generally we failed on plays that specifically called for Pryor's number. Normally a QB in Pryor's mold improvises and makes things happen on plays where his number isn't specifically called. Pryor failed to do that, he showed he did not have the presence of mind to break down a disciplined defense like USC. He showed he's not capable of handling the QB duties on the NCAA level.

Well this season is useless. I could honestly not care what happens the rest of the season. And this is coming from a die hard buckeye fan.

You know you dont mean that Chardon.

I am glad I sold my season tickets before this game for $650 because now they aren't worth $200

I'm with you on this one Chardon. All season long we're going to here how we can't be a top 10 team. Maybe we can get lucky and beat Penn State this year but really who know. Yeah, it's great to beat Michigan every year but I'd rather lose to Michigan and win a National Championship. I know that's not possible but still. I'd trade all those victories over Michigan for another National Championship or a victory over a top 5 team.

Just one, is that asking too much?

Again, how can you even blame Tressel here? He made some iffy calls(QB Sneak, or lack thereof was bad), but let's remember that everyone agrees that our offensive talent is basically limited to Terrell Pryor. When our only offensive talent puts in a clunker, it's not surprising that you lose. When your QB shows that he can't handle being a quarterback, you're going to lose.

No bubble screens or any kind of screens, no quick outs on first down. They called one slant the whole game. TEs were never used. Saine burns the USC LB twice and then he is on the sidelines on 3rd and goal. Shitty, slow develops fakes were called all game and fooled no one.

It was shitty game management. How many times were they going to run Herron up the middle on first down? Why not throw a quick or bubble screen to get in a better 2nd down yardage and 2nd 9-10?

The whole passing game was either a 5 yard dink or a heave down field. Play designs with those slow fakes and attempts at misdirections were just terrible. Awful, just awful. No imagination. No creativity.

USC doesnt have a 6'6 240lb QB but they sneaked the ball for several first downs. There were times especially inside the 5 where USC had huge gaps in the their DL so as to not let Pryor outside and they were begging for a sneak or quick count and nothing was done.

OSU needs to tell Tressel that he needs fire his COs and give up the playcalling or he is gone.

To 1 and 3.

If Pryor is designing plays and calling plays, we have a bigger problem at hand than what we see. Tress calls the plays, Pryor tries to run them. I will not doubt that Pryor had a horrid game, but a lot of what happened will lay on Tressel. He's the one who kept calling stupid passing plays when you have perhaps the best running QB in the NCAA, he's the one who keeps dialing up long pass plays on 3rd and 5ish.

Tressel is far from blameless, I agree with you. But you can't expect to score on USC when your only offensive talent plays like an inebriated possum.

You're obviously not a die hard if you're giving up on your team after 2 games.

Come on guys! Stop being whiny ass bastards. This aint no national championship or bowl game. We struggled at first last year but we came around. Give this team some time to gel, we showed a lot of positive signs for a young team.

This isnt the football team or Tryrell Pryor we'll be seeing at the end of the season. Get behind the team we all fuckin love and give some support.

Fan negativity has gotten the city of Cleveland and state of Ohio real far hasnt it?

Oh, this is all Tressell and the coaches who are suppose to teach/coach Pryor. The kid looked lost at times. That's a coaching thing. Tressell does not know how to manage a game. He doesn't know how to make adjustments, nor how to call what play at what time, and in what situation. He plays the game ..... ALL OF THEM..... like he's afraid to lose instead of playing to win. It's like this big game after big game.

What a disappointment. A disappointment because it was USC, but also one because the season is almost not worth playing out now. Who the hell cares about some silly big ten ship? I sure don't. We win that each year even no matter how bad we are.

Off rant now. I'm just amazed how OSU can blow game after game like they do.

Why do i feel like wonka was talking to us?
why wont youtube vids work?

The worst thing that could ever happen is us getting up 12-10 because after that, Tressell goes into Put-Head-In-Sand and pray the defense can hold on without any offensive support mode.
