Riley won't give it up....I don't even think he wants Amare that badly at the deadline, he just wants to stall Kerr so he can keep US from getting him.

Riley knows if Amare/Lebron pair up 2 of his top FA targets are off the market.

Riley is just trying to stall long enough for Ferry to switch onto another target, he can sign Amare out-right in FA.

I also think an important thing about Mannix is that he really was the first to announce the potential T-Mac to Knick deal with details. He definitely has good sources which should be encouraging for the Amar'e talks.

I know we have talked for hundreds of pages on STAT vs Jamison, but my two cents...

(If we resign Stoudamire - He will be a solid offensive weapon, and the best player Lebron has ever played with (the same could be said for Amare about Lebron). He is younger than Jamison, and offers our team an immediate window of a potential run at championships. When will we get a chance to make a move like this agin and aquire someone who has the talent level of Amare. This is as close as attaining Chris Bosh/Joe Johnson/player X as we will come in the next 2-3 years, maybe longer - do we really want to keep making roster changes as often as this (4 player trades, altering key pieces of our starting lineup year after year. Now, if we are giving up marginal role players (JJ green, picks, etc) for a player of amare's calber you have to make that deal based on the incraese in overall team ability.

- if we get amare our overall team talent level will rise, and he will be the best player lebron has ever player with.


Jamison - he is aging. His window at most is 2 years, before we try to insert JJ into a more meaningful role (35 mins). Jamison would fit in with this team immediately, and gives us about 1/2 years of a run at a title.

JJ's potential = a poor man's amare
Amare ensures us of a solid run (3-5 years) of seriously contending at a championship...

LBJ wants it to happen.

Now, if he goes to miami, I am not as worried, however, which team has more potential...
Dwyane Wade with Amare or Lebron with Amare...with our talent...

Sorry man, on WKNR Rizzo show. Apparently the cohost (Sabrina) was abused by Brandon Mcdonald of the Browns and they are just nonchalantly (sp?) talking about it and she is pressing charges or has legal retained. I just seen others were getting as irritated as me as they have tied up an hour talking about this nonsense instead of talking about the most important topic in Cleveland Sports right now.

At the very least Amar'e can make Orlando pay on the other end of the court for playing Rashard Lewis. Face it, if you are a team that starts a PF that is soft and shoots tons of 3's, it creates a big advantage for you on offense but a bigger dis-advantage for you on defense. The problem with Cleveland was that Lewis just guarded Z and since Z is just a spot-shooter at this point in his career with no post-game, he couldn't make Lewis pay on the offensive end. Amar'e can and will make Lewis pay. Orlando fans know what Amar'e does against Lewis and that is why they are not happy with the potential trade.

Amar'e won't be gotten, I don't think, unless he is going to stay on the Cavs.

If Riley is trying to stall for Ferry to leave its not going to happen. Especially when LeBron want Amar'e first, Ferry will wait to land Amar'e.

Unlike the Heat, the Cavaliers have several moves in place in case the Amar'e deal falls through.

The pressure is on the Heat and Ferry knows it.
