I cant believe windhorst just said amar'e coud potentially be the 4th option,that just doesnt make sense.Mo is good but not that good where i would want the ball in his hands over amar'es if we needed somebody to put the ball in the basket.

When asked for odds of getting Amare, Windy thinks it's "likely." He thinks Amare definitely will get traded, doesn't think Miami can get it done. Also warns that "weird things happen" in last 24 hours.

If Ferry and Brown are actually thinking about making Amare the 3rd or 4th option and benching him during clutch time then there's no point in doing this trade. That's only going to piss off Amare and he'll be gone this summer.
With that said, I just don't buy what Windy is saying. You bring someone like Amare in to be your number 2. You don't dick around otherwise.
Windy thinks Amare could be our 3rd or 4th scoring option some nights.
And Windy thinks Brown will choose to play Andy over Amare in many situations in 4th quarters. Why can't we play both?

Won't trade JJ in the WAS deal.

Most of these heralded "2nd options" are failed franchise players who led their team in scoring for several years.
