Here's the thing about Gilbert's response. He's telling the truth. In a situation like this, one must make a simple calculation, does one engage in a measured way, saying only what they can prove beyond a doubt (often times not much), or they say what they (and most readers, sometimes only subconsciously) know completely. Anyone who saw the last two season-ending playoff series knows that LeBron, at some point, quit, or at least gave up. The idea that LeBron had special privileges and that his entourage was allowed to wield a great amount of power is also (subconsciously) understood by anyone who has followed the franchise. These points are understood; they are accepted. Other players might enjoy similar perks, but no one wants to talk about this because it's bad for the league and difficult to reconcile. Tonight's events are the perfect time to bring these specific deficiencies to light, and provide the best opportunity to capitolize, as this discussion has not yet taken place in the open / media.

other than adande it appears most of the ESPN nba dumbasses are bashing Gilbert. Can't say I'm surprised, they did enable it. Chad Ford is probably the shittiest person espn.com has on their roster.
