When you watch the Jamal Murray "heating pad" play, just watch Porter Jr.

All that you see right there in that clip is why he's gonna be the guy they try and trade when their season ends. He is the personification of soft. He's a one-trick pony on offense, he just happens to be really tall and good at that one trick.

And then he gives that type of effort on the other end regularly.

I have heard a lot of crazy stories about how he was bullied so much which lead to this behavior... I have an absolutely wild one that is out there too, well I met a handful of times through my family's old attorney but I don't want to derail this conversation... The league wanting it and officials (and the league telling them to do so) openly calling the game to make it happen is two different things.

Sorry, but I don't buy into conspiracy theories. As a life long Lions fan I've heard a thousand times how the NFL hates the Lions and officials call games against them because of it blah blah blah. Officiating is just bad and every year gets progressively worst. It is what it is.

Either way, if I were buying into conspiracies either every refs’ favorite team last night was the wolves or the league REALLY is ready for the Ant=MJ narrative because for as much as everyone is complaining about the Knicks game the Wolves tremendous defense was getting away with blatant fouls

I think the refs also had a lot of bad calls in favor of Denver but it was absolutely dwarfed by the consistent level of contact the wolves got away with. One of the most unreasonably reffed games I’ve seen in a long time.

And I know someone is gonna come in with the PlAyOfF bAsKeTbAlL!!!! Take but this was well beyond that. Like if the wolves get to play like that the only team stopping them is the Knicks bc they’re the only team that will fight back to that extent

A few thoughts about the end of the Knicks-Pacers.

First off, that was a wonderful game and i think that's all we can ask for as fans here. I don't really give a crap who wins that series.

Second, Knicks made big shots at the end, Pacers made less big shots. That is what ultimately determined that game. Smaller market teams (or teams without superstars) generally have to be clutch to move on. The refs 100% always suck and that can't be changed (looking at you Tim Donaghy).

Third, i still think Pacers give them a serious run for their money. those guys just run, run run. also, I doubt Haliburton has another game as bad as that one in this series. Also Josh Hart might spontaneously combust at some point in the playoffs.

Fourth, fuck Boston. The end.

Has Josh Hart sat in the playoffs? His cardio is impressive AD and Tyrese has been poor pretty much the entire playoffs so far.

4. We "had" a fairly deep roster. The injuries have completely gutted it. And what is left on the bench isn't that great to be honest but Thibs has got to use them in spots or the starters are going to be burnt (at least imo). I am amazed how Hart continues to keep playing 45 minutes a night and it doesn't seem to effect him at all. In fact he seems to be playing better the more he plays. Burks playing like hot garbage since the trade is a killer right now. Thibs has zero confidence in him. But hell, even the three he used last night (Achiuwa, Mitch and Deuce) only played 27 minutes total. 8 man rotations are not uncommon in the playoffs but you have to let them play a bit. Those 3 have proven they can give solid minutes but it's like Thibs is only trusting the 5 starters now unless Deuce goes on one of his heaters.

I am super surprised that Deuce and Precious are not playing more. I get monitoring Robinsons' minutes. He is clearly not 100% and should be restricted to maximize his usefulness. But it seems reasonable to me to give the three of those guys ~55-60 minutes a night. That would allow the rest of the guys to stay in the 30s (Or low 40s if you are Hart).

But Thibs is going to Thibs. So it has been. So it will be.

I think (just me thinking) Thibs doesn't like the spacing when he plays Precious at the 4. But I'm with you, he did a nice job filling in for Randle for a pretty decent stretch. Deuce is hit or miss, if he's hitting his shots Thibs will play him, if he isn't he doesn't. And as you said Thibs is going to Thibs.. I just hope it doesn't end up biting them. Indiana plays a style that can wear you down.
