So I am dying on this hill until this summer. I texted a group thread this evening over it. LBJ is coming back home this summer, lol. I am convinced it is happening lol lol lol
*Lebron has to opt out by June 29th.
*The NBA Draft is June 26th.
I do not see any team outside of the Lakers drafting Bronny, and why would the Lakers burn the 17th pick on him?
Cleveland drafts Bronny at 21. LBJ opts out and tells the Lakers he is coming back home and facilitate a sign and trade with Cleveland so he can still be paid. The Lakers oblige because they want to appease him.
LBJ does not have to have his last season or two with a barely .500 team that gets swept in the first round. His last years as a Laker will be remembered for becoming the NBA's all-time scoring leader and not on bad teams. Gives him one last shot to get a title and go out on top. Lakers also have to blow it up at some point very soon...The Lakers are not doing anything this summer.
Imagine a farewell tour, with Bronny and being an instant contender. I do not think it is so wild. Bronny can also grow on a team with no expectations for him for a few years.
(Obviously the big piece would be LBJ willing to take a serious cut on a contract and sign a 1 year deal).
Make it happen Koby!!!
EDIT:
@Deezus And we bring back Lue this Summer for this last run!
