Akron @ OSU

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I love the BTN. :(

Are all the OSU games on the BTN?

I believe this is the last one... I hope.

Kent State is the last one

Grey Goose? Or should I jump right to the Crys?

Well I'll be at this one so F YOU B10NETWORK, I WIN THIS ROUND!

I'm going to my grandparents to catch this one.

Mac: Kick-ass avvy there, Winslow owned him.

Awesome Boeckman with 2 picks already in the first half...

This reminds me when we chose Zwick over Smith

Get Henton in there, he can't do much worse

3-2 OSU!!!

Dominance

Absolutely pathetic performance

3-2 vs the Akron Zips

This is what you get when you schedule cupcakes, I don't see how it benefits the team, going against below average talent. Focus is at a minimum, as is effort. If this was Indiana or Purdue we'd be down 21-3. It does nothing for our strength of schedule. Absolute garbage.

It benefits the team b/c we still get a win while giving up 5 turn overs. Do that vs Purdue, like you said and we lose. These early games allow a young buckeye team to work out the kinks, and still be in shot of a BCS game.

No TDs surrendered yet this year. Remember in 2002 we won a record 14 games and the Sears trophy with a great defense. A great defense makes for at least a good team, almost regardless of anything else. Similarly, a terrible defense makes for a terrible team, almost regardless of anything else. See Michigan.

Games summary: http://bucknuts.com/news/story.php?article=1652

How dominant was the OSU defense? The Buckeyes (2-0) forced Akron (1-1) to punt a school-record 14 times.

* The yardage total for Akron is believed to be the lowest yards allowed by OSU in at least a decade. OSU’s research shows the Buckeyes gave up just 104 yards in a 1996 win over Minnesota. The school record for fewest yards allowed is 27 to Michigan in the 1950 Snow Bowl

* OSU has now won 20 straight regular season games, dating to a 2005 loss at Penn State. The school record is 21 straight regular season wins from 1967-69. The Buckeyes have also won 13 straight home games dating to a 2005 loss to Texas.
