An idea, any help with making it work?

My initial idea for this trade was Mo Pete for Sasha straight up, which works under the CBA. I got to thinking that the Hornets wouldn't want Sasha, but perhaps Toronto would. The only player I want from Toronto is Jamario Moon.

I know the Hornets got Devin, who can always play PG for them if needed, but I was thinking of a deal where we could send Delonte to the Hornets, Sasha to Toronto, and we end up with Jamario Moon and Mo Pete.

Could anyone out there, *even Heath*, find me a way that this works out. It's an idea that's been playing around in my head for the past couple days. Perhaps Toronto wants Delonte instead? I don't know. The key 2 players the Cavs give up are Delonte and Sasha.

If Delonte was given up, I would imagine a vet PG to be signed for minimum to bring in if needed, and we leave Boobie as the backup PG.

I don't think it'd work out too well, but I'd really love to see Moon as our 2 guard, even though he's really more of a 3.

With this trade happening, Wally's massive contract would be used towards a big man of course.

I came up with one that had to be expanded (because of the CBA rules, which are ridiculous) but still includes the players you mentioned:

CLE trades: West (sign and trade for beginning salary of $5 million), Sasha, Allred, Thomas, Snow
CLE receives: Moon, Peterson, Kapono, Mike James, possible draft picks from N.O.
Reason: you wanted Moon and Mo-Pete

TOR trades: Moon, Kapono
TOR receives: Sasha, Allred, Thomas
Reason: cap relief from Kapono's deal

New Orleans trades: Peterson, Mike James
New Orleans receives: West, Snow
Reason: West would be a nice option off their bench. Snow is an expiring, whereas Mike James has this year + a player option for next season. With Chris Paul's extension kicking in next summer, N.O. might like the flexibility that Snow's contract provides.

As a side note, I think there's a better chance of it snowing today here in Phoenix than this trade ever being discussed or happening. :chuckles:

CLE Gets: Jamario Moon, Kris Humphries and Morris Peterson

TOR Gets: Delonte West and Billy Thomas

NOR Gets: Sasha Pavlovic, Lance Allred and rights to Darnell Jackson/2nd round pick

Only thing is that the Cavs give up a lot and don't get the right type of value back, IMHO..
