For the second year in a row, the Buffalo Bills and Ralph Wilson Stadium will play host to a Monday Night Football game. Last year, the Bills lost a heartbreaking game to the Dallas Cowboys in the final seconds, and this year they will try to get that bad taste out of their mouths against the Cleveland Browns.

Last year, the atmosphere had Tony Romo visibly shaken, and the fans will try to do the same to Brady Quinn in his second career NFL start.

Last season, the Bills traveled to Cleveland for a game with major playoff implications, only to be beaten amidst blizzard conditions. Nevertheless, the battle of the Lake Erie teams for me was one of the most memorable games of the year, and it got me thinking.

Cleveland and Buffalo are two cities that have a lot in common. They are blue-collar cities of the Rust Belt that work hard and play hard. More importantly, they love their football teams. Wouldn't it make sense for these two teams to play in the same division?

The yearly matchups in the freezing cold of winter would make for a great rivalry, and the fans would love every minute of it.

In the early '90s, the Bills and Dolphins rivalry thrived. Marino vs. Kelly. Over the past decade, however, the rivalry has diminished and it no longer is what it used to be. There is just nothing in common between the two cities to keep the rivalry going.

The Browns could beautifully replace the Dolphins as the new rival. Although it is fun watching the Dolphins come up to Buffalo in the winter and fall apart in the cold, it would be more fun to have a December clash with the team across Lake Erie who is used to the conditions. Classic hard-nosed football games would unquestionably ensue.

The NFL should move the Baltimore Ravens from the AFC North into the AFC East, and take the Buffalo Bills and put them in their place. Baltimore is an Atlantic Coast city that would fit better in the East.

By putting Buffalo in the North, it would not only pair them with the Browns, but with the Bengals and Steelers as well. These two cities are also of the blue-collar mold. It just makes too much sense for it not to happen. But since it probably won't, I will just have to watch this MNF game instead and think, "What if."

Just like I think "what if" I still had my beloved Buffalo Bills Zubaz pants.
