CDT, forget about Steinbach. He does not want to come to a losing team. He want to go to a winner so he can finaly win the big one. He does not want to be part of Bungels 2.0.

I'd take Dielman over Steinbach anyway... Steinbach is more of a pulling guard who excels in the passing game, while Dielman is the mauler, power-running game guy; something we need...

Never say never... Money can change anyone's mind...

Nevermind the fact that you wouldnt have a clue on what he wanted.

Steinbach wants the money, period. Whoever gives him the most will land his services.

I like them both, but Dielman is perfect for us. Smash-mouth run-it-down-your-throat monster. His play, atleast, tells that story.

Well, he is not Carlos Loozer.

But for the Browns' sake, I would be happy to be proven wrong and eat as much crow as possible.

If we land Steinbach, we have a great chance of also landing Dielman anyways. And if we can sign those two and resing Hank Fraley, I could die a happy man right now.

But I'm a realist and the way the Browns luck has been, I might as well not be optimistic either.

We signed the best player available last year and look what happened...his knee exploded...first day of camp Dielman and Steinbach collide during pregame pilates and both are out for the season...Quinn gets crushed in the pocket and demands to be traded..

Ok, now tell me something that WOULD shock me if it actually happened in Cleveland.

The Browns will sign someone via Free Agency that will make the Pro Bowl...

since the cleveland brown franshise is cause like how the saints was, the only way to rid of the curse is a huge catastrophy.

I don't think it would be wise to waste just about all your money on two guards... I'd take Dielman and then get a guy like Dockery to play RG... Or even an under the radar guy like Cooper Carlisle or Stacey Andrews..

You don't need to have star players at every position... Just look at guys on the Saints line or the Patriots line.. None of them were touted as the most talented lineman but I think continuity has a lot to with why they are so good...

Speaking of guards, don't quote me on this, but I heard somewhere that the Browns were looking at Sean Mahan (Buccaners) via FA... I have no clue why because the guy sucks...

I also heard, from the original poster I quoted in this thread, said that the Browns spent "an inordinate amount of time with Manuel Ramirez of Texas Tech, at the Senior Bowl". He said that the Browns would love to draft him if he was sitting there at the top of round 3 with their pick...
