Browns vs. Bucs Game Thread

Doesnt matter if we have the same record as them, they beat us so Im pretty sure we get priority there.

Someone correct that if Im wrong.

They don't go by that, we lost to the Dolphins in 04. 10-7 at their place and finished with the same record as they did and they got the 2nd pick and we got the 3rd.

I think they use strength of schedule as the 2nd barometer and then conference record...

Which should favor us as we played some damn good teams this year..

San Diego, New Orleans, Baltimore, the Broncos should get in..the Bengals and Steelers are around .500 or better. The Jets might get in also..

in the case of teams that have the same record and played each other, the team that WON gets the better pick.

So if we lose next week and tampa loses next week, Tampa would get the better pick.
If we both win next week, Tampa would get the better pick.

The only way we'll get a better pick than Tampa is if they win next week and we lose.

I'm not sure what happens if teams have the same record and they didn't play each other. I'm sure they have a scenario for that, I'm just not aware of it. It could possibly be SOS or Conference strength as CDT stated above.

The Lions are definitely thinking QB here...they'll probably take Brady Quinn..

Funny though they draft 3 WR's in the Top 10 picks and only 1 of them amounted to anything (Roy Williams)

Rogers got cut, and Mike Williams has less receptions than backup QB Josh McCown  Then they found a gem in Furrey in the last draft and he is tearing it up..(white guy :chuckles:)

Hopefully we can get our hands on Joe Thomas...the Buccaneers are an interesting team to look at here also...they have their guy in Simms...they have Caddy and a pretty stout defense...their line gives them problems though and they could also go receiver as all they really have is Galloway.

Calvin Johnson or Dwyane Jarret would make sense but so could Thomas which for our sake and my own personal want I hope they don't draft because that would suck hard..

Let's pray for an Ogden like Tackle..and not a Robert Gallery :thumbdown

They have the tiebreaker agaisnt us, so if we are tied in thes standings, we get the higher pick...

I am pretty sure Jarrett will be staying in school...

CJ is just an absolute beast... I haven't heard of too many guys who are 6'5, have a 40'+ vertical and run a sub 4.4 40... He's just an amazing talent/athlete... But what makes him a star, is his humble attitude and work ethic...

I'd take Calvin Johnson over Braylon Edwards...I wish we could deal him for a high pick in this draft..

not with his lack of performance, stupid comments, and missing/being late for meetings....
