I am from Illinois, and I really want to go see the Cavs play in Chicago on the 15th of January, so I was thinking of asking for tickets for Christmas. Anyways, I thought I'd make sure that no one on here has tickets for the game and can't go or knows someone in such a situation. I would be glad to buy them from you rather than from some random person on StubHub.

Also, does anyone have experience buying tickets on StubHub? I assume the prices will drop the closer it gets to the game as people want to unload them, but I'm not sure if there will be many good tickets left. I'd like to get tickets behind the Cavs' bench because I think it'd be a lot of fun... but I am guessing these may go sooner rather than later?

Any advice would be appreciated. I'm trying to decide if I should look to buy in the next 2-3 weeks or if I should wait it out and see if I can get a bargain of sorts closer to the game.

Where are you in Illinois? There's a few of us on the board that live in Chicago. I'm from Westlake, OH originally, but I now live in Grayslake, IL. (note to self: stop living in places with the word "lake" in name).

I'm from the Champaign area.

Do the tickets on eBay generally go up for auction closer to gameday?

I have used Stub Hub once, for a playoff game a few years ago against the Nets. I actually bought the ticket the day of the game for like $35 (nose bleeds) and I picked up the ticket just about a block away from the stadium. It was very easy and I would defiantly use there services again.

Stubhub is really good and really reliable... Sometimes you can find some very good deals on there but more often than not you'll find better deals on eBay...
