Was this staged? Why was the fan escorted out on the floor? If it isnt, Lee or some guys here who knows law, should he sue them?

That's kicking someone when they're down.

really?

Fuck Utah and that dudes gay ass voice. Had to be staged though, looked like security gives the mascot a hug at the end...?

It was staged. I've seen that schtick at the Q though not as elaborate. No way would that guy make it onto the court if he really hit the the mascot.

Oh, that was 100% staged.

So much was out of place. For one, no guy with balls enough to try and attack a teams mascot for real comes to the game with a "Jazz Stink" sign. Maybe his 3 year old son would.

Second, that mascot, employee or no, if he actually punched the guy in the face back would be hauled out as well to deal with the situation. You don't just let a non-security guy throw a lawsuit-worthy punch at a paying customer, and then have your in-house security come hug him and high 5 him. Homeboy would own Energy Solutions.

Staged. Pretty funny. A little tasteless. But staged. For sure.

Yeah on Twitter one of the Cleveland sports writers said it was staged.

I think it's kind of funny but screwed up that the mascot tore the Cavs jersey off the dude.

There's no way this could ever be real. You're embarrassing a fan, calling him a loser, putting his face on the jumbotron. What if he's with his kid? What can he do? Just sit there and say, 'Yup, I'm a bitch." This sort of policy would be asking for mascots to be assaulted and owners to be sued.

It was tasteless on the part of the Utah Jazz organization. Staging a fist fight with a mascot in an arena filled with kids strikes me as more than a little inappropriate.
