Why would the pacers trade dunleavy to us? Is it because Bird does not like white sf with limited athletic ability that can shoot?

I realize you guys probably didn't watch a lot of Pacers games last year since they were so terrible, but Mike Dunleavy Jr is not the same bum he was in Golden State. In fact, his numbers last year were really good.

82 Games, 82 Starts, 36.0 MPG, 6.5-13.6 FGM/FGA, .476 FG%, 2.0-4.7 3PTM/3PTA, .424 3PT%, 4.1-4.9 FTM/FTA, .834 FT%, 1.0 SPG, 5.2 RPG, 3.5 APG, 19.1 PPG.

I don't see what's not to like about Dunleavy. He's only 27 which makes him younger then most veteran wings the Cavaliers have been rumored to be pursuing. He has seemingly figured it out on the court after a few years of struggling. He shot the ball well from everywhere on the court this past year. He took a lot of threes, but still ended up with more free throw attempts then three point attempts which is great. Plus, he was able to average 19 points a game with only 13 shots a night. In Larry Hughes' first two years here he averaged 13 shots a game so that's about what a 2nd banana can expect in this offense.

For everyone talking about how bad they want Mike Miller on this team, to laugh when someone suggests Mike Dunleavy is pretty ridiculous. Dunleavy had just as good, if not a better season this past year then Mike Miller's has ever had in his career.

I didnt laugh at the concept, he is a realistic and he could come in here and average 16+ a game which would be great from our starting sg, my only problem is why would the pacers trade him?

Dunleavy's an ok player, but how much of his production was due to (1) the Pacers being a crummy team, and (2) playing in Jim O'Brien's offense/system?

On March 29th, I went on a trip to Indianapolis, In and stopped in to see the Pacers take on the Bobcats, and Dunleavy would fit in great if we need a shooter, so yeah, he's not as bad as you all are writing him off as.

mike dunleavy is one of the most under rated players in the nba... did you watch him play when he still was in golden state??? i love the way he play.. he has a good mid range j, can go to the basket, can DISH to an open teammate, create his own shot... '

he will be a good pcik up...

what about sasha +pick or cash for mike dunleavy???

thoughts???

i like the trade because i think dunleavy can be a great starter for us but i think we will have to give up another player

only reason i could see is cause they drafted brandon rush and want to get the young players big minutes to mature quicker. they got rush and granger at sg and sf. there really isnt any room for dunleavy

He had a his best year as a pro last season, i dont see the pacers trading him now. Rush is still unproven right now, i'm pretty sure the pacers want to try and compete. Thats why they traded for ford..........

I'd pass on Dunleavy. They may try to unload somebody by the deadline if nothing is going their way, but I'd rather take a crack at Murphy if they wanted some capspace.
