Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Since when do the Indians "develop" young talent?

Yeah he's already said he wants to play for the Yankees so **** him. He's only 16 and while he definitely has unique talent, baseball is a much more inexact science and prospects fizzle out more often than not. The world is full of 6'2 high schoolers who can rake so I'm not believing anything until he does something in at least the minors.

Not hating on the guy, I hope he does well(if he's not a Yankee) but I think 16 is way too early to be anointing a baseball player as "the chosen one".

I dunno, I read that whole article in my SI and he sounds pretty ridiculously good. Like, the next Albert Pujols. Maybe better. Freakishly athletic, unthinkable bat speed, monstrous power, inspirational work ethic, and a hard attitude.

Could be the next big thing.

That kid's swing is as powerful as I've ever seen from anyone of his size and/or age. That kid's timing is unbelievable for the amount of torque he gets out of his hips.

He looks like 200+ strikeouts waiting to happen...

Two words: Russelll Freaking Branyon

LOL but with Phenoms, how can you miss...IE: CC and Manny.

How were they phenoms? If I remember correctly Manny was picked 13th? and CC somewhere in the 20s. A phenom I can think of that failed (among many others) is the Anderson kid Detroit picked maybe 10 years ago that consistently threw 100 and 101 mph.

Josh Hamilton was the #1 pick back in 1999 I believe, and had these same tools...

This must be emphasized: Parlaying talent and expectations to draft position is baseball is stupid. Plenty of guys get drafted in later rounds due to sign-ability issues.
