I think Lee would be a nice addition depending on the price. Lee has a nice outside shoot and can grab some boards so he should help spread the court. However, in my opinion, Wally is too valuable a trading chip to use to get Lee. Sasha for Lee I would do and worry about signing AV (new deal) or Lee this offseason. I want a championship this season. In my opinion Wally will most likely be used to get SG (that can shoot), which I believe is first priority.

i love david lee's game too. i think he'd be a great fit here, but might be too similar to AV. but i also think they might be able to work together, as they replace z and ben.

know this might sound crazy, but listen for a moment...what if the mavs flop this season (which they may with howard now out), could we pull a major heist for Dirk? The Mavs might find that it's time to start over, and with Kidd's expiring and receiving Wally's major expiring they would be back around the cap.

We could offer something like Wally, Sasha and JJ and 1st round for Dirk (it works salary wise).

Any thoughts? Is that realistic at all? And if so, how would Dirk mesh with this team?

I honestly don't understand everyone's love affair with Dirk. We don't need an overrated PF who has never been successful in big games or the playoffs. We need an inside scorer, not another guy who plays no D and hoists long jumpers.

Obviously I wouldn't be too upset to land Dirk, but I would rather look for something we need, like an inside scorer or a premier SG.

Knicks can get more for Lee.

Also, we'd have to send Kinsley and probably Jackson.

Kinsey is to fill out roster. Jackson would be the depth they'd lose with Lee.

A Wally + Kinsey + Jackson + 1st round pick + 2nd round pick (via Bulls) for Malik, Lee & Jerome would make more sense for both teams.

That being said, the Knicks probably dont want Lee in Cleveland, making us any stronger than we already are. They'd want us to take Curry for sure.
