Mavs Ink Dirk To Contract Extension
In the STAR-TELEGRAM, Art Garcia writes that "taking care of the 'most important player in franchise history,' the Mavs signed Dirk Nowitzki to a three-year extension Tuesday believed to be worth nearly $60 million on top of his current contract. Nowitzki, 28, had two years left on his current deal, a six-year contract for $79 million signed in 2001. The All-Star power forward has committed to the Mavs through the 2010-11 season. Locking up Nowitzki for the long-term was one of the Mavs' top priorities during the off-season."
