If MB's defensive system is not doing well then he is useless. There are other aspects of coaching that he is just not good at i.e. developing young guys, demanding respect, in-game adjustments, and overall swag.

Mike is still partying like it's 2009.

I think Bynum is rushing things because he knows Tristan's man is usually on his way to double and he is trying to get a shot off instead of being patient and making the proper play. I don't want to give up on Bynum until we see him play with guys around him that have to be guarded and pose some kind of offensive threat.
And who would that be? Bennett and Clark? No one is going to respect them. Dont make excuses for Bynums puss poor chucking. Hes selfish.

Lost the rebound battle 50-39 tonight. Lost it to Chicago 49-36. Lost it to Portland 56-44.

For all the size we supposedly have why are we getting man-handled on the boards?

We have devoted alot of resources financially and in the draft to PF/C and we can't rebound for shit.

How on earth is that possible?

We have bigs on paper. They are probably the most unathletic sets of bigs in the league.

Honestly. TT and Bennett are supposed to be athletic bigs but they seem to play below the rim most of the time on the court. They don't really use their athleticism to their advantage.

Dan won't be happy getting embarrassed at home by his hometown team.

He's the guy who hired Brown and Grant, who assembled the clusterf*ck you see before you...

Not Clark. Maybe Bennett. We obviously need an NBA caliber SF. Bynum is playing selfish right now, probably because they went several games where they couldn't even pass him the ball, so he doesn't want to give it up and never get it back. I don't like at all how he is playing, and there is a good chance that he won't work out. But the upside of having an engaged Bynum and a spread floor around him is too high to give up on without giving it a legitimate shot.

Clearly the Cavs need a good SF to spread the floor. I'm sure the FO knows this but its simply a matter of how many draft picks the Cavs have to give up to get one. If they wait six months they can get one in the draft for next to nothing, even mid to late in the first round, so do they wait 'til next year....

All I was thinking while watching Kyrie literally do all the work was, Grant could you please get him some help? You could tell Kyrie thought "fuck it" in his head and just started doing it all himself. Our roster outside of Kyrie, Dion, Tristan is pathetic. For God's sake, Delly was our 2nd best player tonight, an undrafted free agent. I love Delly, not a shot at him, just saying that's not a good sign.

Wait - didn't we just have two first-rounders, including the #1 overall, and didn't we just use those picks on 2 guys who are supposed to be able to play SF at least some of the time?

They have to remove the nails holding them to the bench, first.

On the bright side, we are still only 2.5 games back of the 8th seed.

We're just one game back of the 8th seed. 3 games back of the 5th seed. Hard to believe.

Very hard to believe when you consider half the teams ahead of us are actively trying to lose and we are actively trying to win while not developing our young talent.

I have not been watching a team that looks to be trying to win.

Detroit isnt trying to lose. Joe Dumars signs Jenning and Smith to go with Monroe and drummond to win.

cant say Chicago is trying to lose. Thibideoa isnt a tank type coach and they will make adjustments to rose. When chicago makes some trades ill believe they are trying to lose. until then they are "struggling"

Tornoto.. is trading gay waiving the flag or addition by substraction. Tornto I dont see as trying to lose but taking what they get

Boston has no idea what its trying to do but while their building they have alot of young draft picks to develop.

Charlotte is at the stage of their build where they are trying to get out of the cellar and are succeeding.

Atlanta may be in a build process but they kept their vet talent and added some vet talent.

Washington is at the stage where they need to see where they are at. definately not a tanking team.

Perhaps theres alot of the teams in building mode but building and tanking arent necessarily synonymous not every team has to go the route the cavs did because they werent left with a bare cupboard.

hardly half the field ahead of us trying to lose.
