King Me.

As if the three straight triple-doubles didn't scream "MVP!" to the basketball world, LeBron James showed how deserving he was of that honor Friday night. Leading yet another improbably comeback, James exploded for 51 points, 9 assists, 4 rebounds, 3 blocks, and 2 steals. Here is a closer look into what it took to be King against the Kings last night:

Coming into last night, LeBron's career high against the Sacramento Kings was only 35 points. Here are his averages against Sacramento prior to Friday, contrasted with his game last night:

- LeBron James (9 games): 26.0 points, 8.2 assists, and 7.3 rebounds on 87-177 (49.2%) shooting, including 8-33 (24.2%) from three and 52-71 (73.2%) from the free throw line.

- LeBron James (last night): 51 points, 9 assists and 4 rebounds on 16-30 (53.3%) shooting, including 4-11 (36.4%) from three and 15-17 (88.2%) from the free throw line.

With those 51 points last night, LeBron nearly doubled his average against Sacramento going into the game. Furthermore he accomplished this by shooting better in every aspect than he has on average for his career against the Kings. Lastly, LeBron recorded the eighth fifty point game of his career. Here are his averages from those games:

- LeBron James (8 games): 52.3 points, 8.5 assists, 7.0 rebounds, and 1.9 steals on 139-250 (55.6%) shooting, including 42-83 (50.6%) from three.

I mentioned it once before, but it bears repeating. LeBron James is averaging an absurd 8.5 assists in games where he scores 50 or more points for his career. By contrast, Allen Iverson is averaing 5.5 assists in his eleven career 50+ point games. Similarly, Kobe Bryant is averaging only 3.4 assists in his twenty-four career 50+ point games.

Over his last four games (record: 4-0) LeBron James has been on an absolute tear, leading his team to victory on a nightly basis. After three straight triple-doubles and a fifty point barrage, here are his numbers since last Saturday:

- LeBron James (4 games): 32.8 points, 11.3 assists, 9.3 rebounds, 2.3 blocks, and 2.0 steals on 41-92 (44.6%) shooting, including 42-53 (79.2%) from the free throw line.

In the end, the most important stat over the last six days, and I believe LeBron James would agree with me, is the fact the the team went 4-0 and clinched only their second division title in franchise history. Congrats guys!

What a Week.

While the numbers I mentioned above are attractive, for real Cavs fans the week was anything but smiles and laughter. Watching the three games from this week was a brutal task, with some fans conceding victory during the fourth quarter. However, the Cavs managed to pull it out and win all three games from this calendar week as here is a closer look:

- Cleveland: 110.7 points per game on 115-253 (45.5%) shooting, including 30-81 (37.0%) from three.

- Opponent: 105.7 points per game on 118-248 (47.6%), including 21-69 (30.4%) from three.

- 4th Quarter: Cavs - 32.3 points per game, Opponent - 16.7 points per game.

- LeBron James (3 games): 39.0 points, 11.0 assists, 9.0 rebounds, 2.7 blocks, and 2.3 steals on 36-77 (46.8%) shooting.

- Anderson Varejao (3 games): 10.7 points and 10.3 rebounds on 14-21 (66.7%) shooting.

- 12.0 turnovers per game compared to opponent's 15.7 turnovers per game, recording fewer turnovers in all three games.

Ultimately, while the Cavs appeared to drag during the first three quarters of all three games (trailed going into the fourth of all three), they turned on the jets at the right time, outscoring the other team by double-digits in the fourth quarter of all three games, fueled by solid play and number twenty-three.

This week helped showcase what the Cleveland Cavaliers are all about this season. After the conclusion of the team's west coast road trip last night, the Cavs improve to 11-3 on the road against western conference teams this season. Here is a look at their play out west:

- Cavaliers: 99.6 points per game on 522-1,127 (46.3%) shooting.

- Opponent: 95.4 points per game on 501-1,103 (45.4%) shooting.

- LeBron James (14 games): 30.7 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 7.6 assists, with 5 double-doubles and 2 triple-doubles (7 double-doubles if you count the triple-doubles).

- Mo Williams (14 games): 16.5 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 3.6 assists, with 30 made three pointers (2.2 3pm per game).

- 4th Quarter: Cavs - 25.4 points per game, Opponent - 22.4 points per game.

Push it to the Limit.

It almost seemed as though this week the Cavaliers tried to see how unstable they could play for three full quarters and then turn on the heat for a victory with their backs against the wall. While I highly doubt this was their intent, they showed true championship spirit when they were pushed to the limit. Here are some notables based on the hardships the Cavaliers overcame last night:

- As I had previously mentioned, the Cavs dominated the fourth quarter last night, much as they did all week. They won the fourth quarter by 14 points, marking four straight games with fourth quarter wins. Furthermore, they have won the fourth quarter in 7 of their last 8 games, winning all seven of those games as well.

- Last night, however, the fourth quarter wasn't enough, as the Cavaliers needed an extra five minutes to decide their fate. It marked only the second overtime game for the Cavs this season. The last overtime game in Chicago didn't go over as well, though. Here is how the two games match up:

January 15th @ Chicago:

- Cavaliers points in 4th quarter + overtime: 22 points.

- Chicago points in 4th quarter + overtime: 31 points.

- LeBron James: 28 points, 14 rebounds, 7 assists, and 8 turnovers on 8-28 shooting (28.6%).

- Anderson Varejao: 4 points and 5 rebounds on 2-7 (28.6%) shooting.

- Cleveland Cavaliers - 93, Chicago Bulls - 102.

March 13th @ Sacramento:

- Cavaliers points in 4th quarter + overtime: 42 points.

- Sacramento points in 4th quarter + overtime: 25 points.

- LeBron James: 51 points, 9 assists, 4 rebounds, and 3 turnovers on 16-30 (53.3%) shooting.

- Anderson Varejao: 18 points and 12 rebounds on 8-8 (100%) shooting.

- Cleveland Cavaliers - 126, Sacramento Kings - 123.

Just as this overtime proved to be better than the earlier OT game this season, so did the game without Mike Brown. Prior to the Kings game, Mike Brown had two career ejections and the Cavaliers were 0-2 in those games. The ejections came in a game last season at Boston and a game earlier this season at Washington. Here are the stats from those games contrasted with last night's game:

First two Mike Brown ejections (record: 0-2):

- Cavaliers: 82.0 points per game, 59-152 (38.8%) shooting.

- Opponent: 86.0 points per game, 66-143 (46.2%) shooting.

- LeBron James: 28.0 points, 7.0 assists, 5.0 rebounds, and 5.0 turnovers on 18-46 (39.1%) shooting.

- Team three point shooting: 13-45 (28.9%); Team free throw shooting: 33-47 (70.2%).

Last night versus Sacramento (win):

- Cavaliers: 126 points, 43-86 (50%) shooting.

- Opponent: 123 points, 42-87 (48.3%) shooting.

- LeBron James: 51 points, 9 assists, 4 rebounds, and 3 turnovers on 16-30 (53.3%) shooting.

- Team three point shooting: 10-28 (35.7%); Team free throw shooting: 30-41 (73.2%).

It should be noted that regardless of the team's record in games in which Mike Brown is ejected (1-2), the Cavs have outscored their opponents 80-47 in the fourth quarter (26.7 points to 15.7 points) of those three games.

View from the other side:

- The Sacramento Kings recorded 123 points, as guard Bobby Jackson tied a season-high with 19 points and his back-up Will Solomon scored a season-high 18 points.

- Kevin Martin scored 34 points, his most in a game in over a month. Martin has an active streak of thirty-four straight double-digit scoring games.
