There's No Place Like Home.

After a tiresome west coast road trip, the Cavaliers came home for a change-of-pace evening game (thank God!). While last season the Cavaliers were only 2-2 after road trips that were three games or longer, this season the Q has been a safe haven for the Cavs regardless of where they're coming from. The Cavs have played especially well this season in their first game back after a long road trip, as here is how the two seasons stack up:

2007-08, First home game after 3+ game road trip:

- Record: 2-2.

- Cavaliers: 103.5 points per game on 155-338 (45.9%) shooting.

- Opponent: 96.5 points per game on 140-316 (44.3%) shooting.

- Larry Hughes (3 games): 6.0 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 2.3 assists on 7-30 (23.3%) shooting, including 1-7 (14.3%) from three.

- Turnovers: Cavs - 10.8 per game, Opponent - 10.3 per game (0.5 more to's per game).

- 4th Quarter: Cavs - 25.0 points per game, Opponent - 22.5 points per game (2.5 more points in the fourth).

2008-09, First home game after 3+ game road trip:

- Record: 3-0.

- Cavaliers: 96.0 points per game on 109-236 (46.2%) shooting.

- Opponent: 85.3 points per game on 94-241 (39.0%) shooting.

- Mo Williams (3 games): 20.3 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 4.0 assists on 21-35 (60.0%), including 10-14 (71.4%) from three.

- Turnovers: Cavs - 13.3 per game, Opponent - 14.7 per game (1.4 less to's per game).

- 4th Quarter: Cavs - 23.0 points per game, Opponent - 20.0 points per game (3.0 more points in the fourth).

One particular standout this season in games back home after long road trips is the play of the team's defense. Here are some additional stats from the 3 wins at the Q this season:

- The Cavaliers have shot a better percentage than their opponent every time, holding them to 43.1% shooting or below each time (39% average), while averaging 46.2% from the field.

- The Cavs are outrebounding their opponents 129-119 (43.0-39.7) combined in those three games, never getting outrebounded in a game.

- Cleveland has won all three fourth quarters en route to victory, winning the three games by an average margin of 10.7 points per game.

Find Your Own Superstar.

The Cleveland Cavaliers did what they were supposed to do. Defer the media attention, shut up, and play your game on the court. The end result? A four game sweep of the New York Knicks this year. Here is how LeBron James and the Cavaliers handled the Knicks this season:

- Cleveland: 110.5 points per game on 168-340 (49.4%) shooting.

- NY Knicks: 94.5 points per game on 140-347 (40.3%) shooting.

- Rebounds: Cavs - 46.3 per game, Knicks - 43.0 per game (3.3 more rebounds per game).

- Steals: Cavs - 10.0 per game, Knicks - 5.5 per game (4.5 more steals per game).

- Blocked Shots: Cavs - 7.5 per game, Knicks - 2.3 per game (5.2 more blocks per game), had more blocks in all four games.

- LeBron James (4 games): 29.5 points, 7.0 assists, 6.5 rebounds, and 2.5 steals on 38-74 (51.4%) shooting, shooting 50% or better in all four games.

It should be noted that in their 62 games versus opponents other than the Cleveland Cavaliers, the New York Knicks are averaging 106.8 points per game. The Cavaliers not only held them to an average of 94.5 points per game in their four head to head match-ups, but held them below their season average all four times.

LeBron James, who played great against the Knicks all season long, has been on an absolute tear as of late. In his last five games, his Cavaliers are 5-0 and he has had three triple-doubles, nearly averaging a triple double. Here are his fantastic numbers over the last five games:

- LeBron James (5 games): 30.0 points, 11.0 assists, 9.0 rebounds, 2.4 steals, and 2.4 blocks with an assist to turnover ratio of 3.7.

Just to put things in perspective, here are some other NBA stars who have had big averages over the last five games:

- Dwyane Wade (5 games): 34.6 points, 8.6 assists, 6.4 rebounds, 3.4 steals, and 1.2 blocks with an assist-to-turnover ratio of 2.4.

- Kobe Bryant (5 games): 27.4 points, 4.8 assists, 4.4 rebounds, 1.2 steals, and 1.0 block with an assist-to-turnover ratio of 2.7.

- Chris Paul (5 games): 26.8 points, 9.6 assists, 6.4 rebounds, 3.4 steals, and 0.0 blocks with an assist-to-turnover ratio of 2.7.

Rounding Out the Lineup.

While LeBron nearly recorded his fourth triple-double in his last five games, help came from other places, too. One of those special contributions came in the area of team rebounding, involving all of the Cavaliers big men. Here is a closer look at the rebounding tonight:

- Zydrunas Ilgauskas grabbed 8 rebounds, tied for his most since the 2nd of the month. This is a good sign for Z, who averaged only 5.3 rebounds per game in the six games after his four straight double-doubles.

- Anderson Varejao grabbed 9 rebounds, marking the fourth straight game he's recorded at least 9 total rebounds. Over the last four games he is averaging 10.0 points and 10.0 rebounds, despite recording only one double-double. Varejao is now averaging 8.0 rebounds in the month of March (9 games), his most rebounds per game in a month this season.

- Joe Smith came off the bench and grabbed 7 rebounds in tonight's game, his most in a game as a Cavalier this season. Smith has raised his average to 4.7 rebounds per game in six games with the Cavs so far. Last season Smith averaged 5.0 rebounds per game in 27 games with Cleveland.

- Mo Williams pulled in 7 rebounds tonight to complement his 23 points and 5 assists. Mo is now averaging 4.3 rebounds per game in the month of March (9 games), his most in a month so far this season.

Here are some odd-ball stats that go along with the game from tonight:

- The Cavaliers now improve to 3-0 in games where Mo shoots 100% from three (the other two games, however, he was 1-1, while tonight he was 5-5). While Mo has been lights out from the free throw line this season, the Cavs are now 10-1 oddly enough in games were Mo misses at least one free throw. The team is 2-0 in the only two games where Mo has missed two free throws.

- Delonte West scored 13 points, his first double-digit scoring game in his last three games played. West has scored in double figures in only 8 of his last 16 games, coming after a streak of 10 straight double-digit scoring games. The Cavs now improve to 26-5 in games that Delonte West scores 10 or more points this season.

- LeBron James grabbed 8 rebounds tonight, marking the sixth time in the last eight games that he has recorded at least 8 rebounds. The Cavaliers are 6-0 in those games. Furthermore, on the season the Cavs improve to 25-4 in games that LeBron grabs at least 8 rebounds.

View from the other side:

- Al Harrington scored 26 points tonight, his most in a game in over two weeks. Harrington, however, is shooting 21-54 (38.9%) from the field over his last four games.

- Larry Hughes was one of only four Knicks to record a negative +/- in tonight's game, believe it or not. His -16 was the worst on the team tonight as he played in his sixth game versus the Cavaliers since being traded from Cleveland last season. Here are his stats against Cleveland since the trade:

Larry Hughes (6 games): 15.2 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 3.8 assists on 33-86 (38.4%) from the field, shooting 40% or worse in five of the six games.
