Greece - Serbia brawl

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Can we sign him to a ten day when LeBron comes to town?

Krstic is a little bitch. Schoartsinitis (sp?) should really consider doing MMA. The whole team is surrounding him and he doesn't seem to feel anything. Funny shit, man.

Krstic should be banned for a long, long time... Fucking euro barbarians!

Kristic was being a little bitch. Hitting and then running and backing off. It was funny as hell watching the Greek shaq go after him and Kristic was acting all tough but backpeddling like a litte girl.

With the chair if you don't mind..

fixed

Serbians are well known for theyr hot heads. Especially if they are losing. Everytime Serbs are losing in a game, they start swearing, insulting and provoking their opponents. I'm not even talking about flopping. Those guys are the masters of flopping.

The guy on the far right takes indifference to a whole new level.

Seriously :chuckles: At first I thought he had a cup of coffee in his L hand, but I guess that's just the car bumper behind him. Times like this I wish I had photoshop skills.

BTW I'd take Krstic in a heartbeat if he didn't have a large contract.

I think we ugly Americans just lack the proper sophistication to truly appreciative the subtle nuances of this display of European sport.

the origin of the brawl can be traced directly to the rivalry between Olympiacos and Panathinaikos and the recent mess called the Greek League Finals where referees wee dictating results, players were bikkering and spitting each other and fans (or more accurately, hooligans, sensible basketball fans should recognize the Greek League for the joke that it is) were hurling everything they could get their hands on towards the opposing teams' players. It was a matter of time until the results of this vendetta started spilling onto international play as well.
That doesn't explain Krstic's involvement however...not only a coward but an idiot as well as he managed to throw the chair to one of the few players who where trying to protect him. What a pathetic little bitch...

Good thing Sasha wasn't there, everyone would have been assassinated.

I like how Kristic looks to lock in the WWE style sleeper on the large black alpha-male, before running away to find a chair. NO-DQ battle royal at its finest.

If this had happened with American players there would have been all kinds of euphemisms thrown around.

FIBA handed down punishments yesterday: from Greece, Fotsis and Schortsianitis got a 2-game suspension which, hopefully, won't cost us against China and Puerto Rico. From Serbia, Teodosic got a 2-game suspension (he'll sit out the games against Angola & Germany) while chair-throwing Krstic got a 3-game suspension  and he'll sit out an additional game against traditional powerhouse Jordan...oh, wait that's a different Jordan :gap:. Tsartsaris and Keselj were not punished despite the clearly visible punch throwing they were engaged in...

Apparently, the Serbs still hold sway over FIBA and we were able to piggy-back on their influence and get off lightly. Here's to a rematch!
