It's a long story, but I just got a PS3!!!

Opened the thing like it was a glass ball haha. It's the 80 gig, but I'm not sure I will be able to get internet since Road Runner doesn't carry it (on ps2) in my area, but I'll be appealing that pretty quickly.

I picked up Madden 08 with it so I have a game until Christmas (which has now been turned into PS3 game-day) so it's all Madden until then. I don't feel like spending 60$ too many times.

Anything I should pick up with it? I haven't looked into any extras that are available yet.

If I can get the internet going, PM with ya online name and we'll go at it.

Not sure what Sony has to offer but a must have game is Call of Duty.. Only if you can play online though. The campaign is awesome but you can kill that in about 8 hours.

if you got DSL or any of that you just plug the cord into the back of your PS3 to your router, so it should work.

COD is amazing, deffinitly worth picking up/asking for.

Well I was never gonna buy the damn thing on my own. I owe some great salesman at Best Buy for this! Basically we agreed on a PS2 but she came home with a 3...thank goodness for employees who care. My money is tied up for awhile since A)If OSU makes it to the championship I'll be saving up some money to buy stuff if they win and B) this along with the car they bought me IS my Christmas. It's not the true spirit, but no more presents/money for this lucky guy. COD 4 was a game I was wanting to buy but now I may have to wait a while for it. I'm gonna sell NCAA and Madden 08 for ps2 to either Game Stop or Block Buster to scrounge up some extra cash since I don't feel like dipping into my college stuff.

James thats what I was thinking I'll try it maybe tonight but I know RR didn't carry it in my area for PS2 for some reason that they couldn't tell me - it better work. There's a phone jack like right next to the TV where it's hooked up so cross your fingers.

btw Madden sucks. I wasted 60 bucks on that crap and will never buy another Madden again.

NBA2k8 is great. COD4 is addicting as hell. I can't really get into the story mode too much, but it's visually appealing enough to play a few rounds against the computer. I'd rather play it online though. Rainbow 6 Vegas is also one of my personal favs.

Yeah COD 4 is a no brainer once I get the cash.

And as far as Madden and NBA 2k...I play all EA sports. Maybe it's because I'm used to them but EA sports seems like their head and shoulders above all other sports games makers. Only non EA game I'll probably end up buying is a pro baseball game since EA stopped making them - and COD 4 if I can.

Ehh COD offline against computers.. booo come on get online. But you didn't like the story line? I actually loved it, beat the game before even touching online.
