Hypothetical trade for Iverson

Nuggets/Iverson fan blogs about possible destinations (no rumors here, just pure speculation on his behalf):

Iverson to Cleveland for Wally Szczerbiak and Damon Jones
Why Cleveland Would Do This: They're paying Szcerbiak and Jones a combined $17.4 million for one more season anyway (damn those guys have good agents!), so they might as well get Iverson for one year and go for a real NBA Finals push alongside LeBron James.

Why Denver Would This: To save $4.6 million in salary.

Why Cleveland Wouldn't Do This: I don't see a downside for the Cavs. If they could pair Iverson with James for one season, you're looking at a Finals contender in the East.

Why Denver Wouldn't Do This: The Nuggets would rather keep the few season ticket holders they have left than trade Iverson just to save $4.6 million.

id be soo happy if that happened but its jsut not gonna i can guarantee that unless denver has a memphis moment than it just can't happen. I agree that they might do it if they got to dump more salaries ie the camby trade.

Definitely. He sells alot of tickets for them, along with Melo. And the fact that he is also expiring makes this trade useless to Denver, so at the end of the season they would gain absolutley nothing except having a higher draft pick for losing more games without Iverson all season long.

did you ever watch denver games, down the stretch, they don't know who will take the shot but a.i is mostly the one who's getting it..
