Well this team really needs a shakeup and a change needs to be made at the literally anemic PG position which has if anything gotten worse then last year both in terms of offense and defense.

Hughes after what I thought a very good start, particulary scoring 20+ to complement has really fallen off. Some posters have suggested that's mainly becuase we try to get others involved in the offense.

My solution to really make this team understand that you mean business is bring Jackson into starting linuep and put in Hughes as the starting PG. If you want plug Newble into the starting lineup if you're too scared about putting in an unproven player like Luke in there. Frankly with Lebron again having to be the playmaker 100% of the time, having Hughes be the PG will let him see the ball early and set up his game. In addition the defense at the PG will solidfy. So we can finally get both offense and defense out of the staring PG position. In addition with Lebron being a great initiator Hughes won't have to worry about fully playing like a traditional PG on offense

With Luke his offense has been anemic but he's a far better distrubitor who will get the ball in Z and Lebron's hands unlike Snow and surprisnly has been an OK defender. If not stick Newble in there. He will at least get his nose dirty and give you 10 points which Snow is incapable of. I'm being dead serious here. Both Snow and D. Jones are decent players but only in a very limited roles. They are situational backups. Just like two years ago where Detroit used both M. James and Lindsey Hunter, two polar opposite too great affect off the bench. But Detroit had a star at PG in Billups so they could do that. Time to put at least our play with star like capablity at the PG position full time.

Uhhh its time for larry Hughes to get his ace out of cleveland. Yeah im know im speaking out of emotion but i didnt like the guy before we got him. I really really tried to like him but the guy continues to not bring anything to the table. LeBron again cant seem to depend on anybody but z and larry gets lit up again tonight by Joe Johnson. This guy is getting paid liek a superstar but he is playing like an underachieving roleplayer. Like i said we wont go anywhere unless larry can gvioe us 18-20 a game with good defense on solid shooting. He isnt playing anything like his numbers suggest last year.

Put up or shut up home boy, u wanted to leave washington to be a sidekick to the biggest talent in the league. Its time to act like one that guy.

Oh and why run larry at the point when he is a turn over machine?

The only reason I would like to see Luke out there is because of his defense...It's not the best, but he at least gets his hands up on every shot...He is very aggressive defensively (don't get that mixed up with being physical) but he does challenge his opponent out there...

Ih he would only get his offensive game going...

I have no idea why he cannot play a Wally/Wes Person type of role for us ?

I think this is a passable idea, but maybe the right answer is to trade Luke and or Sahsa and or Ira for the right piece to this puzzle. I agree that the PG spot has not been productive for us. Snow has been billed as a defender and distributor, and he is distributing, but I don't think he is an effective defender. With Jones I think we are getting pretty much exactly what we thought from him.

We are also negative at the power forward position, but we are talking about opposing players like Brand, Duncan, Garnett, Nowitzki and so on. At point we are getting burned by everybody, which is not different than last year. You could argue that the opposition is scoring instead of passing to a Lebron, but the fact that we are being out assisted as well would argue against that. The only category we are leading the opposition in at this position is turnovers ! which is probably mosly Damon, Since Snow has one of the leagues highest assist to turnover ratios.

The only team with a worse net PER at PG is Boston and Portland. That is pretty amazing...
