Kerry Collins was just dropped in my league, and I'm trying to decide whether to pick him up. Any one have any news on him? I know he's not a stud, but as far as I know he's still a starter, and I just need a warm body for week 9 when McNabb and Delhomme are both on bye. As it stands, my starting QBs for that week are Favre and Damon Huard, the latter of which may very well not still be starting by then.
Here's the latest report I'm seeing on fanball, just 2 days ago:
To pick him up I'd have to make room by dropping super rocket Bruce Gradkowki (who I'm hoping will be starting soon over Sims) or Huard.

THE NEWS
Kerry Collins will continue to be the Titans' starting quarterback, Tennessee coach Jeff Fisher said Monday. "Kerry was brought here because of his experience and we are sticking with Kerry," Fisher told the Tennessean. "We're going to continue to develop Vince. Kerry's experience is the reason he is playing. He has all kinds of experience in this league under center and Billy [Volek] has basically had back-up experience. You are entitled to disagree with our decision, but that is the decision we made and we have reasons for it."
Our View
Flawless logic, really, basing the decision not on talent or productivity but on the fact that Collins has fooled more people for a longer period of time. Could one of the reasons for the decision be that Tennessee has locked in on someone they want to take with a high draft pick? Because that's the only apparent explanation for sticking with Collins, who has fluctuated between rusty and horribly overmatched thus far this season in pacing the Titans to an 0-2 mark.
