The Knicks get Wally and his expiring contract along with a young SG. Also get rid of Jared Jeffries bad contract

We get David Lee, the PF we have been looking for, and a couple of nice bench players.

Not sure if I want to trade our best asset in Wally for a package that is mainly surrounding David Lee..

Furthermore, that is a lot of new guys to work into the fold here...

Not a terrible trade at all, but certainly one I believe I would hold off on..

Wally can't be used for just any ol deal. He needs to be a main cog in any deal that nets an all-star caliber player.

The Knicks want to use Lee as a chip to get under the cap for 2010, and possibly get some talent at the same time. I don't see anyway they'd do this, and I doubt that the Cavaliers would either.
