I know its still young in the season and im normally always the optimist but there are things im not liking here. When you have lebron on your team, teams will bring their a game no matter who you’re playing. As evidence by new jersey and Seattle. We need to be ready for that, There doesn’t seem to be an urgency to play d until they are either down going into the second or the game is coming to the line.

Larry Hughes is not playing like the man we all hoped he would be. You dont know what he is going to bring to the table, LeBron seems to be our only consistent performer but the way the team is playing now. It feels like last year when we had nobody around him. As a second option player and simply for this guy to be productive for us, he needs to take shots in the 16-18 attempt range. Also no jump shots from him unless his feet are set or he gets to the free-throw line off the dribble. Any other shot off the dribble for him simply wont go down. He releases his shot almost when he is falling down which results in a line drive. I dont know what it will take for this guy to be at a comfortable level to consistently perform but we need it asap.

Even though we rank high offensively it seems like we struggle every possession in the half-court to score. Which is where 99% of the offense will come in the playoffs, you couple that with our poor defense and you’re just asking for trouble. So essentially Larry Hughes needs to step up and be that man or we will see a lot of bron taking 28 or so shots per game. As well as play good d which we should be doing at this point in time.

you are so right about our struggles in the half court offense. the good news is that most of the regular season, this is not a problem in that we can get out and run the break. the half court offense only becomes real important in the playoffs. no worries until then.

Mabey Larry isn't getting enough early touches. It seems that the game starts off with Z and LeBron doing all the scoring. Larry is really the odd man out on offense. The only time he becomes effective is during the 4th quarter when he drives to the lane on every posession to get to the freethrow line.

Before all that, he just seems to be standing around on offense waiting for LeBron to make a move... just watching... just like the rest of the team.
