Man Throws Shoes at Pres. Bush

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
A quote by this Iraqi woman sums up my feelings:

Karim Muan al-Qaisi, a 50-year-old merchant, said: “Despite my hatred of Bush, he’s a president for a big country and a guest for the Iraqi government. And we are as easterners think insulting the guest is an insult for the host. Despite our hatred to the guest there should be respect and diplomacy.”

Conversely, we're not Iraqi's. Imagine if someone came into our country and destroyed it beyond repair? We would probably be cheering the action. JMO.

Ahmad Jbaeir, a 25-year-old law school student, said: “I was very glad when I saw the shoe on TV. I do not care even if he was a journalist or an ordinary citizen, but he expressed the feelings of Iraqis who hate Bush because he killed us. So we are demanding to release him.”

I saw an interview with Scott McClellan and the former press secretary was one of the last high up in the Administration to meet with Saddam Hussein before the 2nd gulf war. He said that he had his feet crossed and he accidentally made the bottom of his shoe visible to Saddam. Well, Saddam very casually made it clear that if he was not an honored guest, he would have had him killed for such an insult. This is a pretty big insult. Weird how its so funny to us.

I like how when the guy throws the second shoe you see the guy besdie bush try to block it and all bush does his put his hand up but doesnt even move.

Guy got some toughness :king:

They may have to scrape his remains off the floor of some underground Iraqi prison though, that could be a challenge.

Normally I hate that smug little smirk on W's face, but I gotta admit that I enjoyed seeing it this time. He's basically taunting the dude as he's winding up...
