Missing the Old Days?

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Larry being out has as much impact on the cavs, not because he's as good as shaq, but because the heat had Alonzo to step in for shaq. It took us 10 games to find a reasonable backup for Hughes. We've been just fine since then.

I dont know about just fine we have played .500 ball and the past couple games have been sooo ugly.

we've won 8 of 10 since we found someone to fill in for Hughes. I'll take 8 of 10 any day. Any team will lose a couple in a row from time to time.

Larry has no where near the impact Shaq does, let's not get silly here..

Yeah but numbers dont tell the entrie story here. We got destroyed in miami, I dont care how tired we were, we just shouldnt get embarssed that badly. The win against the bucks and the game against the sixers was just awful. Get us a good point guard and i think this team sky rockets.

I think with a good point guard the way it changes brons game is his scoring effientcy goes up, rebounds go up but assists go down. I dont like bron initiating the offense the whole game because of it being slower. A lot of times he brings the ball up slow or just gets hounded all the way up.

I want to be a quick hitting team in the half court and then grind it out defensively. We can do that with a good point guard. Run more post plays for bron or have him cutting.

I also think this benefits z heavily because he is a very gifted passer and it will open more opportunties for him around the basket.

that's not what I said - I said the loss of Larry impacted us as much becasue when he went down, we didn't have a viable backup. While shaq was out, Alonzo played all star caliber basketball.

and what nobody seems to want to answer is this - what has Miami done this year to show that this year's roster is better than the cavs. OF their 9 players who have played in at least 30 games this year, 5 of them are new - Williams, Waker, Payton, Posey and Kapono. They also have a new coach. With that many changes, last year is irrelevant.

Well they did utterly destroy us down in miami. Honestly I am not that impressed with the heat team. However at this very moment they are better than us.

it was our 4th game in 5 nights, we got back in the game but didn't have the energy to stay there, and it wasn't really all that different from the game where they came here and we had a huge lead.

Yeah i beleive i said somethign about that earlier we need to not make excuses. Every team has to go through stuff like that. It shouldnt have been so bad that we got utterly destroyed on national tv.

they shouldn't put teams on national TV on the 4th game in 5 nights. Even the pistons just lost their 4th game in 5 nights the other day. Those things happen to all teams. And we made the game closer than the final score - we took our starters out, they left theirs in and ran up the score.

Well they did and it looked bad but oh well.

Miami's bacbone of Shaq, Wade, Mourning and Haslem is still there. The team brought in some veterans to fill a role, not change the team. That team will only get better with guys that have been there done that. The Cavalier's usually prebook there late April holidays before the season starts, so how are we to expect the same respect?

This year we have taken a step forward. The Heat haven't clicked like they can but they have players who have proven bigtime when it comes to the crunch. We have nobody in this unit who have played together in the games that matter.
