Another dominating performance by OSU. Didn't get the shut out, but that's only b/c Purdue left their first team offense in against OSU's 2nd and 3rd string defense. Pretty piss poor if you ask me. As an OSU fan, I'm pissed just b/c I wanted the shut out, and we really should have had it. I mean our first string defense shut them out. The last td given up with 10 seconds left was just bs. But even if I'm a Purdue fan I'd be a little pissed about that one. You're down 23-0, and there's a minute left. The other team has packed it in, having their scrubs on the field for a whole series already. But you leave your starters in against their scrubs b/c your pride can't take the shutout. Meanwhile, even with the loss you're 5-1, and in line for a good bowl, or hell, you even still have a shot at the conference title. What if your QB, or another star player, goes down at that otherwise meaningless point of the game? I thought it was pretty dumb for Tiller to keep his starters in.
Anyway, you know that when you're bitching about the other team leaving their starters in during scrub time, ruining your shutout, that you just had a pretty good game. We've all been talking about how for the first 8 games on OSU's schedule, they were better than their opponent. We all thought they would likely start 8-0. What I didn't expect is that we would dominate the hell out of every opponent. I'm still having a hard time seeing this team go unbeaten, but the way they're not just winning, but demolishing everyone, is making me feel a bit more confident.
