I'll probably get slammed for this, but maybe not. We've seemed to have been missing out on every move us as fans have been clammoring for. But what if there are other option available that we don't see or refuse to see. Im of the opinion that you do what needs to be done to improve the team and that's the bottom line.....so here goes:

I think a trade of J.Smith/Wally to the Knicks for Curry/Crawford would improve our team. I know, I know, its the knicks and they're looking to steal Lebron and all that mess....whatever. This is about the cavs and winning. What happens down the line will be totally up to lebron and the state of the cavs...nothing else.

Our lineup: West/Crawford/James/Wallace/Z.
Our Bench: Gibson/Pavs/Posey or Snyder or ?/AV/Curry

Thats a solid lineup and solid bench. Curry and Crawfords contracts end the same year as Lebrons so no problems there.

This deal gives us a nice rotation of players. Come Dec 5 We ship AV to wherever we want, get another big and/or move Hickson into the backup PF spot.

I think this is a realistic and beneficial move. What do you guys think? Please also list alternatives that you have(realistic) that were not talking about in other threads.

I don't believe you can improve your team by acquiring New York Knicks.. David Lee, maybe ??? Other than that, you have a bunch of 1on1 street ball rejects on that team that can't play a form of winning basketball..

Curry is a 6-11 300lbs 5 rebounds per game beast that only plays defense when you reach over to the chip bowl..

Crawford is a 1on1 player as well.. Dribble, dribble, dribble, shoot...

The bolded pointed point of view is expected and probably fair. Probably has alot to do with the fact that they are "Knicks."

I disagree though with the statement that they wouldn't be an improvement. Curry is a proven low post scorer, one who you could run the offense through with Lebron and Z on the bench. He also wouldn't look so bad next to Wallace.

Crawford is a chucker, I agree 100%, but so is Redd. He shooting % isn't that great either, but isn't he the type of player that would thrive next to Lebron. He's not a superstar, maybe a 2nd tier star, but he would be an improvement over any SG we have now. You could also run the offense through him. He also would be great next to Posey if we can land him. I do believe Crawford also averaged 5 assists last season, so he does get others involved also. His numbers this year weren't to far off from Redd's.

crawford is a very good player, I would love to have him, and he would def be a good #2 scorer behind lebron. He is one of my fav non cavs players.

crawford reminds me of larry hughes!!! not interested...

larry hughes and crawford has very similar style of game. they flourish on a run and gun type of offense. Larry hughes did not excel on our offense. Hughes has defense, crawford don't.
These type of players will not complement or cannot be called sidekick to lebron anytime.
why would you want another larry hughes type of player on the team again when you know larry did not work.

-if we got crawford, i know for sure lbj we'll be gone on 2010.

I hate both of these players. I really don't know any other way to put it.

Other than David Lee, I can't think of any Knick who would interest me. I'm not understanding the fascination with the New York Knicks.

i guess david lee is like j.j hickson.. hopefully, j.j hickson will turn into david lee type of player... crossed fingers!
