I'm watching the Lakers vs Rockets game tonight and Bill Walton brought up a great question. If Iverson isn't with a team by All Star break will the league let him play in the ASG?

I don't really know what the rules say, but he is or was the leagues leading scorer and is voted in every year as an All-Star. Weird scenario, but I'm pretty sure he should be with a team by then.

It won't dredge on that long..that'd mean he has to sit out another 30 games because the allstar break is around 50 games..

Little past the halfway mark of the season..

If he isn't with a team he should play in a 76ers Jersey..that simple

Craig Hodges and Magic both played in an all-star event when they did not have a team. I'm sure the league would allow Iverson, who does have a team to participate.

That's right Ben. I completely forgot about Hodges. Was it Hodges or somebody else from the Bulls that they let come be in the 3pt contest too?

It was Hodges in the 3pt contest. Magic in the 1992 all-star main game after he retired in 1991 due to the high 5.
