I've been a subscriber of this premium radio service for about a year, and I've never seen it mentioned on here.

Wondering if anyone else is down with the Slacker?

LOL

If you sign up for like $5 a month, you can build unlimited custom stations, and save unlimited songs to their engine, and listen to them anytime you want.

Its pretty tight.

I've found a LOT of new music, by listening to artists stations, because they play similar artists when you type in a specific artist. IE... if you type in Radiohead, they will play predominantly Radiohead but they will also sprinkle in a little Oasis or Coldplay or whatever.

I have the slacker software installed on my mac at work, and its just a little icon that I can hide in the corner of my desktop or as a widget, but you can control everything fromnm your keyboard for those who need to slack undercover...

Let me know if you guys get down with it.

Thanks for the link...

I really like that..

I'm not going to pay $5 a month, so I'm more than happy to use the general radio...

I like how the feature how it sprinkles in artists similar to the one you searched... Like I searched Murs and guys like Atmosphere and Aesop Rock came up...

It's really a good way to find new music, especially since it plays all the tracks off of all albums...

No prob. I didnt discover that on my own, I was directed there by my boss, LOL

I like the sprinkle effect too. I cant stand listening to the radio anymore, and using Slacker has pretty much taken away the need for that altogether. I used the free service for a few months, I only signed up once I grew tired of not being able to skip songs freely and wanted to see what building the stations were all about.

Good to see you checking it out, I feel like I "paid it forward" just now:D

It's better quality then a lot of my MP3's too. I run out of skips a lot but then I just change the channel. This is good stuff man. If you were a woman I would slap your ass for this.
