That should do it for the #1 seed

With a win today against Purdue in the Big Ten semis, the Buckeyes should have locked up one of the four #1 seeds in the NCAA tourney. Regardless of what happens against the winner of the Wisky/Illinois game, the Buckeyes have shown enough already.

Besides, the Big Ten tourney championship game is played too late in the process to make a difference. The choices will have already been made.

As far as the team, even though the otuside shooting is struggling in closing out the season, the overall play is picking up. The team is learning to go through Oden and to look for him, and with Greg's increased ability to use both hands, his game is taking off to a new level. A full year with both hands, and he is POY in the NCAA reagardless of what Durant is doing.

Agreed. A trademark of Thad Matta's teams, this one is getting better with every game. Oden individually is noticably getting better with each game. How about how a new Big Ten Tourney record with NINETEEN REBOUNDS? He is a man among boys out there.

Since you brought up the subject of next year, as we see Oden start to really blossom and dominate, I'm finding it harder to believe he will be back. It was one thing when he was the best player on the court, but still looked raw. Sure, there is still a lot of improvement for him to make, but he is just crushing the opposition now. He's so clearly dominant these days, he may have a hard time convincing himself that there is much reason to come back.

My advice is to enjoy every minute of him in the scarlet and gray while you still can. I'm going to relish the present and not think about the future.

Great season, we'll be a #1, but I still don't think we are really that far ahead of anyone else. March Madness will be fun to watch this year.
