Urban Meyer stepping down as Florida's coach, sources tell FanHouse. Press conference this evening to announce decision

He'll be with the broncos with Tim Tebow. He couldn't coach without him.

Loss in the championship game, night in the hospital. Sub-par season, QUIT....

I find it funny because he also retired last year before the Sugar Bowl with Cincy.... That didn't go too far. I can't see him changing his mind this time tho.

Now, time to start the Gruden to Florida rumors and Meyer to Denver rumors.

2 big head coaching openings in Florida with 2 top schools in UF and UM. I think Leach goes to Miami but who knows with UF maybe Dan Mullen whose now at Miss St who coached at UF before.

Question for the Buckeye fans here:

When Jim Tressel retires, most likely in the next few years, would you give Urban Meyer a call and gauge his interest?

Personally, I would not. He's a great recruiter who has put a strong product out on the field for the majority of his head coaching career, but he seemed to have problems with players getting in trouble. Ultimately, I want Bo Pellini over every other potential candidate.

Tressels contract runs through 2014. Tressel grew up in Mentor, and went to a local college. I see him being here for awhile.
