I live in Huron,(5 miles E. of Sandusky) I recently got 2 seperate 360's off of e-Bay, my 1st and 2nd mistakes.

Anyways, the first has open tray error. And the second has e74 error. Both worked for me for less than 20 minutes. I am looking for someone who can repair them on the cheap. 1, or the other. Makes no difference to me.

I wouldn't mind a mod and a shit load of games downloaded either, but 1st things 1st.

Oh, and I am not mobile, which really sucks being in a town with no bus lines. If I was still in Cleveland, I could take a bus and get the fix for between $20 and $30.

HELP ME. I would just buy a new one, but I suddenly find myself unemployed, and I told my daughter if straight As, this would be her early Birthday present. Now I feel like the biggest douche.

Just do what I did,

I could fix the open tray error easily, it's literally a ten minute job. Too bad I don't live in Cleveland. I feel bad that I wasn't able to fix someone else' Xbox on here because of some messed up circumstances.

What all have you tried with the open tray error. If you get that error from what I understand it's one of two things. It's either the lens is broke or the lens is dirty. If the lens is broken I have no idea how to fix it, if it is dirty all it takes is a disk from best buy to clean it. It is supposed to be ran every so many months or hours played. The disk is around 20 to 30 bucks I think which is a gamble because I have no idea how to tell if the lens is dirty or broken. Good luck.

Well, it starts to say reading, but Immediately goes to open tray. The disc doesn't even start to spin, so I think it is some kind of motor malfunction.

You can give this a try... there are other tutorials on youtube if you need to see how to get to this point. Sounds like it has helped others. I used a tutorial off of youtube when replacing my PS3's laser lens deck and it was pretty simple.
