I could see them tinkering at the margins but doubt we see anything resembling a trade that alters the starting lineup on either side of the ball. Just gotta ride this season out and preserve assets for the 2020 draft. So what do folks say about trades?
Pull the trigger on Williams?
We need wins, not moral victories. The Niners game was simply an ass kicking. This game was another game we legitimately should have won. Those hurt more, at least to me.
So what do folks say about trades?
Pull the trigger on Williams?
I mean, if we're bad, then sure this was an encouraging game for progress I guess??? But if we are a team trying to win the division, we were up 2 touch downs. Even led by halftime, and we lose at home.
I don't know, I just don't see the silver lining in that. If this is the same old bad Browns, then I guess we can hang our hat on moral victories.
So what do folks say about trades?
Pull the trigger on Williams?
Just don't think its worth it if we're sitting at 2-5. We just might to take this one on the chin, and restock for next year.
The Browns are not going to finish with the 2-5th picks.
Apologies, @godfather.
Not really true, Kush has been good, not quite as good as Zietler, but he is above average starter so far. Its our tackles that have been bad, and allot of the interceptions are just on Baker to be honest.
What are you basing Kush being a good starter on? PFF has him rated as one of the 10 worst full time guards in the league, with an overall grade of 46.1. They have Zeitler just outside the top 10 at 68.2.
On the flip side, Vernon is the 71st ranked edge player in the league, which speaks to how bad he has been. He barely has a low level starter rank and that doesn’t even include the Seattle game, where he was equally as bad.
That trade was a disaster.
Vernon has not been good, that is for sure. Kush has been fine from what i can tell. He has had 4 penalties which PFF hates thus the grade, but he has been opening holes for Chubb and has not allowed a sack this season.
I wouldn't say the trade was a disaster, I would say Vernon has not lived up to expectations. Richardson has been good, but Vernon hasn't lived up to expectations although by your logic we won the trade.
How did we "win the trade?"...Because PFF has Vernon at 76.4 which is higher than 68.2 of Zietler at a position of greater value. Better player at more important position.
Although I like PFF, not sure I agree with Vernon's grade...cant say anything for Zietler, haven't really payed attention to him.
