If Kemp does get himself in shape, should the Cavs consider signing him to a vet min deal?

He could be a solid addition if only for 10-15 minutes a game, give our main front court guys a breather. Hell, maybe we could get him, and he could be a monster.

Misstakingly made a hole new thread about Kemp, I'll just take my questions here instead.

How good was Kemp in Cleveland? I allways thought he started to decline as soon as he left the Sonics but since he says his best year was with Cleveland I guess it wasn't so.

Was he out of shape during his last year in Cleveland? The article stated that he ballooned during the lockout but he still put up pretty decent numbers in 99-00.

If he could put up numbers like that without depending to much on his athleticism I guess he could still do some decent backup work.

I believed he averaged 20/10 his 1st year in Cleveland. He wasn't explosive to the rim, but he showed a great back to the basket game and a nice 15 foot jumper. If he played with more veterans instead of some raw rookies, the Cavaliers would have probably made it farther than the 1st round of the playoffs.

Maybe, but we went against the Indiana Pacers who went onto the ECF's and forced Chicago to 7 games. Do you think Shawn could've lead a more veteran team past those Pacers?

Awfully good team. Maybe if Cleveland had got the 5th or 7th seed, but they would not of beaten Indiana, just my opinion.

that team was solid-- 4 rookies HENDERSON, Z, ANDERSON, KNIGHT

i would give up newble in a heartbeat to get CED HENDERSON back...
