Pittsburgh Steelers offensive coordinator Ken Whisenhunt, one of the hottest candidates during the current NFL hiring cycle, has signed a four-year contract to become the new head coach of the Arizona Cardinals.

Whisenhunt will be introduced as the successor to Dennis Green at a Tuesday news conference. Financial details of the contract -- which includes a team option for a fifth year -- were not yet available. Based on what the Cardinals have paid coaches in the past, Whisenhunt probably will earn an annual salary in the $2.5 million range.

They've lost their 2 best coaches with hopefully Grimm to follow..

And when it allllllll it all falls down...

I suspect the Steelers to try to lock up Grimm... But, the Rooney's are a patient ownership and I have a feeling they are waiting for the Bears to get kicked out of the playoffs to interview Ron Rivera...

The Steelers aren't going to rush because one of their assitants signed somewhere else.. They are going to wait until the time is right, as well as the coach.. They won't rush and make a rash decison...

They'll be patient, but they'll make the right choice in the end..

FYI... The Steelers have only had like 3 coaches since 1969, or something like that...

For the Cardinals, I like the signing... He's the hardnosed type of guy that you need on such a young team like that, but he was a player favorite in Pittsburgh, so he knows his limits and what buttons he can push...

I can't wait to see the Cardinals offense next year... I think you'll see them really put up the numbers that they are capable of... (Leinart, Arrington, James, Fitz, and Boldin will all be good fantasy plays)... I just think they really need to upgrade their line...

Who's the defensive coordinator in Arizona? I wouldn't be surprised for the Cardinals to sign a big name defensive guy to take over the defense with Whisenhut being the offensive wizard..

Good move, overall, by the Cards... Their on the right path..
