I just set up wireless internet in my house, but I got one question that I can't figure out..

How do I set up a password so nobody else can use my wifi??? I can't find it anywhere...

Rep for the help..

I configured my own WIFI. You have to setup the WPA Password (WiFi Protected Access) which can be accessed through your WIFI router's manufacturer CD. Follow the steps in the manual and you're good to go. Kind of like installing a game.

You have install the wireless network CD first. Just as stated as above.

If you're using Windows-based OS then:

1. Open Wireless Network Connection
2. Select "Setup wireless network for a home or small office' which is located to the upper left of the WNC interface.
3. Setup a new wireless connection.
4. Set Network Name the check the box where it says "Use WPA...."
5. See password guidelines for WPA and set your desired password.
6. Finish

If it is a Linksys router you can open up your internet browser and type 192.168.1.1 into where you would normally type a website you are looking for. I can't currently do it to tell you how to completely solve your problem but I know if you type that into the place where you normally type websites it will bring up your Linksys router page. Then somewhere from there you can go to security or something and add a password. You want to add a WEP password if you can find it.
