Re: Ohio State versus Tennessee game thread
If you guys think Evan Turner is going to be a point guard in the NBA, you're kidding yourselves. He'll play the 2 or 3 and probably handle the ball in spot situations when he gets to the next level.

Re: Ohio State versus Tennessee game thread
Simmons had 9 points on 3/4 shooting from 3 in the first half.. Got no playing time in the 2nd half..
We couldn't get a rebound to save our lives either.

Re: Ohio State versus Tennessee game thread
That was some of the worst defense I have seen from the Buckeyes all season long. How many times can they drop it to the post and somebody helps then they have a wide open cutter?I wanted to bury Tennessee, they were talking way too much on the court. There is only one thing worse now that they won,we get to hear it from this guy on Monday.

SOURCETurner Noncommittal; Buford Due Back
By Steve Helwagen
In the wake of Ohio State's 76-73 loss to Tennessee in an NCAA Midwest Region semifinal game Friday night, a pair of Buckeye players were asked about their future plans.
Point guard Evan Turner, already named the USBWA national player of the year, is considered one of the top prospects for this year's NBA draft.
Turner's goal was to lead the Buckeyes to an NCAA Final Four berth. He had previously said he would consider returning if OSU fell short of its goals.
Turner, who had 31 points, seven rebounds and six assists in the loss to Tennessee, was asked if he could put a percentage on the chance he will return.
"I can't give a percentage right now," Turner said. "This is just sticking in my head. I really don't want to go out like this. I just don't know."
Turner said this season was "the most fun I have ever had playing basketball."
"We have a lot of things to be proud of," he said. "We did a lot of great stuff and we had a great season."
Wing William Buford was also considered a possibility to put his name in for draft consideration. But he told reporters afterwards he plans to return.
"I haven't thought about it at all," said Buford, who had 15 points in the loss. "I'll be back. I'm not even thinking about next year. I am so shocked about what happened here today.
"Our season is over with. We have to wait until next year and half of this team will be gone."

If he comes back I think he will get that much better at the point. With the class next year he wouldn't need to carry the load.

Re: Ohio State versus Tennessee game thread
I would be extremely surprised if Turner came back. He might be noncommittal right now but he's going to get tons of advice from now and the NBA draft and all of it is going to strongly tell him to opt for the draft, and he should go.
As far as Turner,(too mad to talk about the other aspects of the game) he needs to stop going behind the back taking the ball up the court, I swear everytime he goes behind the back the ball gets slightly away from him and he has to recover it before the defender gets to him. Of course he won't be handling this in the NBA often so it's no longer a big concern.
