Re: SI's story here it is...
if that's what happens I feel bad for the players not involved. My son plays high school football and track. At their district track meet, he ran the 100 meters against a guy who had a full football scholarship to Ohio State. What happens to people like that? That was their dream. Not just to go to college on a football scholarship, but to go to The Ohio State University and compete for the national championship. I'm sure anyone good enough to get a scholarship to OSU will still get a scholarship somewhere else, but that's not their dream. That's who Tressel, Pryor and the others have let down more than anyone.

Re: SI's story here it is...
It's not surprising though as Pryor sees james as his idol.
As far as this new stuff; not surprising because of what has gone down. I certainly believe all of it. It also would not surprise me to learn Tressel knew of all the others as well.
Also; I guess this new car Pryor was driving yesterday belongs to his Mother. Yeah okay. She bought it for him I'm sure. No matter what, didn't he say he needed the money and that's why he sold his shit? Seems to me he could have simply phoned home for money. She obviously has some from the looks of that brand spanking new automobile.

Re: SI's story here it is...
OK, get out your black helicopters, but I might have a theory.
Follow the money.
Read up on the latest BCS issues stemming from the Fiesta Bowl coruption. The NCAA loses more money than you can possibly imagine by outsourcing the BCS instead of running a championship playoff like, oh, I dunno, every single other F'n sport.
Right now, the SEC is too big and powerful to take on. Probably Texas as well. Everyone hates tOSU in conference and hates USC in conference. They have been dominated and I doubt they are shedding tears we're going down.
Divide and conquer, baby.
Get the Big Ten/ really 12 and PAC 11 in line and then ger up to either isolate the SEC out of the NCAA or into line.
No, I didn't smoke my breakfast, and no I'm not stil drunk from the hliday weekend.
But your question just makes me want to think about rational actors becasue on a certain level this whole thing is beyond stupid.

As a non OSU homer, I think that might be a little harsh for what they are going to get. Maybe a 2 year ban, but I guess a one year bad and 20 lost scholarships. As for the dickholes getting booted, that might not even end up being a NCAA decision. With Tressell gone, you might see the intgerim coaching staff clean a bit of house with no ties.

Re: SI's story here it is...
Nobody seems to be able to come up with an explanation for why OSU and USC are going to suffer nearly the same punishment.
What the two schools have been charged with isn't nearly the same.
There is no "lack of institutional control" charges...

Re: SI's story here it is...
I'd be weary of what you do to TP at this point. If you suspend him for the season after Tressell made them promise to stay, you might be just opening this wound up more. He is showing with his 350Z that he either doesn't care or has leverage against OSU, I don't want to see him opened up after he goes un-drafted and needs money.

I'm out here in Michigan and that's all these maggots can talk about, they are so elated Tressel is gone, but one of the radio annoncers reminds them they couldn't beat the man or Ohio State and until they do Ohio State will still be the best in the big 10! Bunch of loser's up here for sure!
My flag flies high outside my house, Sports Illustrated can eat a 4-9-3-11 backwards and shove it up Michigan's metro sexual arse Im sure they will like that......friggin fags!
