Re: 2012 Draft
All the negativity here is just a result of watching years of Cleveland sports failures. I see us building a much better team around Kyrie than we were able to build around Lebron. There is no reason to believe Gilbert and Grant will let this team stay mediocre for the next 5-8 years.

Re: 2012 Draft
Well you might as well give up and leave the board then as well.
...or, you could look at all the multifaceted ways teams have built contenders other than drafting well for three years. There's more than one way to accomplish our primary goal, and the last I checked, OKC and ATL haven't won any championships yet.

Re: 2012 Draft
Don't forget, it took us only 16 games to hit 7 wins last season, and I'm probably not the only one who (optimistically) thought we could be a fringe playoff team in the time leading up to that; no one predicted losing LeBron would play near that big of an impact. As bad as NO/Det/Wash/Charlotte are, we aren't too far behind. Injuries (notably to NO and Charlotte) haven't helped anything, either, and fortunately we haven't had any yet. It would be great to see Irving and the bunch win and play well all season, but everyone is seriously overestimating the talent/depth of our roster.

Re: 2012 Draft
When you have Mychel Thompson playing 20+ minutes as a starter and Luke Harangody playing 10+ minutes as a reserve, I think it's fair to say that recent injuries have affected the Cavs rotations. Obviously not as bad as something like Gordon being knocked out.
I agree with your points about the lack of depth of the roster. No doubt about that.

Re: 2012 Draft
And we'll have to put on a brave face about it, hoping that he can be the player that was "stolen" in the middle of the first (completely disregarding how rare that has become with the improvements in scouting), even though its highly unlikely. Unless its Meyers Leonard... fuck that guy.
I'm not letting this Leonard thing die either. If the Cavs take him... I mean, just look at his "highlight" video:

Re: 2012 Draft
I actually wouldn't mind Ross, but only if we had two picks in the 1st round. Wouldn't mind pairing him up with Beal.....
